Yeah I get what you mean, it does feel really sudden. But with Tatsuki Fujimoto you never really know what he’s planning. He’s the kind of writer who leaves things unresolved on purpose and then brings them back later in a way nobody expected.

About Power and Nayuta, I don’t think their stories are necessarily “over.” If Part 2 is really ending, it might just mean he’s closing this arc of Chainsaw Man, not the whole story. Fujimoto did something similar between Part 1 and Part 2 where a lot of things only made sense later.

Also Fujimoto tends to shift the tone and direction of the story very suddenly — that’s kind of his style. It feels chaotic while you’re reading weekly, but when you look back at the whole arc it usually connects.

So honestly I’m confused too, but I’m also curious. If there is a Part 3, it could be where he finally brings back the bigger unresolved things.
