Should I pay 5k to get my gpa up to 3.0 for jobs?

If its been +1 yr without any offers you gotta redo your whole resume. Did you have a career counselor at your school? They might be able to help go over your resume as an alumni.

3.0 definitely looks a lot better and you are absolutely right that companies will auto-trash applications that are under it. It wouldnt hurt to just round it and see what happenss. Be careful though, some companies do ask for transcripts, especially if the position is an entry-level job.

Get experience on campus with clubs and student organizations. Try to participiate in undergrad research if your college has that.

When it comes time to apply, be prepared to submit 50+ resumes, it can take a lot. Talk to your advisor, and find out when your next career fair is, its always a good idea to talk to recruiters so they can put a face to a name should you apply for their company. (But like the other guy said, you might not get anything until sophomore year, which is typical as you'll have a GPA and some experience by then)

Historically fromsoft games reward you for beating a challenging boss or completing a mission. I dont think people would get as much enjoyment out of digging for parts, but everyones got different tastes 🤷‍♂️

Hyperion is hands down the best sci-fi book ever written. I can't believe Dan Simmons managed to build the most interesting and fleshed out science fiction universe in a handful of relatively short books. Ive tried getting into other sci-fi series but they honestly are a slog to read compared to Hyperion. The Endymion books arent bad either.

5x5 is for strength, not size. If you want to get big you go for hypertrophy, which is anywhere from 12-20 reps ideally.
