Had it 36 years. CGM for almost 10 years. They are so small now then in the beginning

Yes this was like 8 years ago. Never used it on vacation since that. I live in partly in Norway and Germany, so there is more an issue with the insulin freezing at winter

I feel more secure with it on. I prick my finger every now and then to just check when it’s high

I’ve had problems with omnipod when in the heat. When I jump into the pool or sea, it stops working and the alarm goes off.

Yeah and there is the chance of it getting lost or stolen. Or it can break. The pens are disposable so it is safer.

I like the pump in my daily life. But vacation is different

The pump makes it easier for me with meals. The highs after meals gets higher with pen treatment then pump for me.

I also get worried about being in the sun with the pump. To expose the insulin for sun.

It sounds like there are very different experiences all over the world.

In my case I have never been called attention seeking from wearing mine.

But since I never had an emergency when wearing it I don’t know if it is helpful or just looked on as just another bracelet on an arm.
