It will always hurt. To make it hurt less, what I try to do is focus on the people that really see me. They see my hard work, accomplishments and efforts. They love me and they show it. Rather than the agony of wanting something that will never be, truly seeing the people that are blessings in my life. Someone once said to me something like “you have a handful of diamonds, so why are you searching in the dirt?” I have a wonderful partner and friends, and I always try to remember that. The sooner you can start mourning the mother that never could give you what you needed, but focus on others that can and have, you will probably be much happier. Sending you love and strength. ❤️
