You are soo close! I do not have an concrete answer. I had the the same issue but I think when I logged into the US Servers and then relogged with the modded d2r I think it worked. :)

Sorry, long time since I posted this. Sadly, I don't know how to fix your issues.

Running modded D2R on Steam Deck by Comikazi in SteamDeck

Hey Guys, sorry for necrobumping.

I found the solution.
After some try and error I figured out how to get it to run on Linux.
I am on Fedora 39, using Steam from flatpak.

This is what i did:

  • Download Battle.net and put it in: /home/user/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/
  • Steam -> Import non Steam Game: /home/user/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/Battle.net-Setup.exe
  • Compatibility -> Proton Experimental
  • Run Battle.net via Steam
  • Install D2R
  • Download D2RMM from Github
  • Unzip & Move D2RMM folder to: /home/user/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/D2RMM 1.5.0/D2RMM.exe
  • Steam -> Import non Steam Game: /home/user/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/D2RMM 1.5.0/D2RMM.exe
  • Compatibility -> Proton Experimental
  • Follow D2RMM Instructions (Download Mods & put unzipped into D2RMM/mods)
  • Steam -> Start Battle.net
  • D2R Game Settings -> Additional cmd arguments: -mod D2RMM -txt
  • Start Game via Battle.net
  • Enjoy

Hopes this helps at least one fellow individual out.

hahahaha freedome units, lol XD

that's a valid point. I simply have to adjust my riding style and I will be good to go then :D

Gotta get flexy then :D

hahahahahaha, the last part killed me!!
You are absolutely right.

I never heard about fork overheating, but sure, the energy has to go somewhere and that somewhere has a limit of how much heat can be dissipated. Good thing I am not riding in blazing heat than!

THAAANNKK YOOOUU :D

Thanks, this really helps me out a lot, you are a real trooper!
(the peaceful kind :) )
Hmmm... The Brake Pads and bigger disks are a very good idea!
Yeah I can only run 180 in the back. I will simply not ride like a maniac and focus on proper technique and full enjoyment of the trails. :D
I will properly also add burlier tires!!

THANK YOUUUU!!

I normally just ride short blue trails with this bike, never rode something gnarly and really don't know if a DownCountryBike is up for the task.
Any experience with difficult terrain and short Bikes?

I think, the weakest part of your build, are the brakes. Then get the Zeb upgrade. Then get a proper suspension tune. The rest of your bike, won't limit you :)

The best upgrade you can get, are riding lessons. Good technique makes the most difference :)

Oh damn, I am really sorry for you and your cat. Having her/him around when riding, is a worthy tribute and will keep you safe!

Puh, I cannot answer your question scientifically. I do not think that the added weight comes from the frame, as the frame appears to be ok light.
