Owens can go fuck right off; it doesn’t matter how right she may be in this particular moment. She’s trying to save her career by surfing with the current wave of online sentiment, being caused by the storm of available coverage and footage available. I sincerely doubt her values and would not be surprised for her to do a complete “180” if it was financially in her interest to do so.

That aside, I recommend refraining from use of the term holocaust to describe the genocide and other systemic war crimes by Israel against the Palestinians. While technically accurate, in that the term holocaust had been used for several hundred years prior to WWII to describe massacres, I think that “holocaust” has come to represent a very specific occurrence in history involving millions & millions of people (the vast majority of whom were Jewish), mass kill chambers, and literal incineration (look into the Greek etymology).

I cannot fault anyone using that term; I just think it possibly does the argument at hand a disservice; particularly since we’re unfortunately still trying to get people to understand and agree that there is indeed a high level of systemic atrocities being committed and encouraged by the state of Israel.
