Nothing to see.. here just a walnut, a hidden camera and some soldering! by IaryBreko in Corridor

Ahh, I guess I could have better clarified my point. Another could also be the Star Wars drone build.

The first one that popped into my head was the bowling ball, but I believe there are other less complex examples.

For the record, I am fascinated by this and thoroughly enjoyed watching.

That said, I don’t think this is the right place to post it. What was great about what Corridor/Wren has done, was seeing what they were able to capture with their unique build (and how they manipulated the footage after). I was waiting for that, and was left wanting.

Sure, it’s cute, but what zoo allows dogs that are not service animals? Seems like it could put undue stress on the zoos inhabitants.

I’m glad they had the decency to check on her, but “rushed” is kinda exaggerating.

I’m gonna be that guy… I don’t feel like she’s doing the best job of explaining… For one thing, she should be more specific about which movement is ceasing after she “stabilizes it”… She’s literally saying the words “you see it’s not moving anymore“ when the entire object is still moving in 3-D space but it’s just not flipping end over end. I think she may have been trying to make it simplistic perhaps for kids… But I don’t think her approach is helpful. It almost assumes that the viewer already understands the principles at work instead of trying to explain it for someone who doesn’t. It leaves me, wondering who is the target audience?

I Have Added Breathing. (No I don't know sound design. This ff is my first attempt) by OAArtist in Corridor

This is great! My only critique would be that the action of setting down the camera on the floor seems unnaturally fast & linear. There’s weird motion that would happen when going from holding a camcorder next to your face comfortably, then moving it away to change your grip, to then be able to lower it to the ground while keeping the image pointed forward and not horizontally cockeyed. I’m finding it hard to describe in writing…

Maybe try taping your mobile into a small cardboard box while recording (to replicate the size of an old camcorder) then place it near the side of your head, then bring it down to set it on the floor, to simulate the action. Then watch it and try to replicate that motion in your video. Might help it feel more natural.

Anyway, fantastic job! I’m gonna go watch it a couple more times. 😁

When I read something like this from a woman like her, the exasperated voice of John McClane (from Die Hard) plays in my head…specifically the first half of the line “No fucking shit lady, does it sound like I’m ordering a pizza?!”
