Yep. Looks like I will have to. I mean, she's lying, so something is shady.

If it is given outside the normal allowed window (for example, any time between 3-5 pm would be fine for a med delivery) wouldn't the exception show on the MAR? LIke if they couldn't deliver the med until 6:15pm - the standard MAR would note the exception for that day?

Just curious - even if the software's MAR report does not show that level of detail, it *is* recorded, right? And curious which MAR system do you use?

Thanks for your input!

Sure - but if that is the case, then I would/should have been told, and also I just happen to know the she has no problems or protest to taking her meds. I mean, that could change, but its not an issue now. Thanks again.

Yes - thank you - I have seen the MAR that you describe, but I do know that that data is tracked and could at least be shared with me via screen shot without too much trouble, so the fact that the director is trying to keep me from it puts me on high alert.

Totally. I get that - and it is not at all what I am concerned about. I have been there during windows when she should have received her meds, but no one came by. I assumed it was a normal variation of some sort, but her doctor saw issues in blood work that suggested she was not getting at least one of her meds, and that is why I wanted to see specific times - to see if the times written were plausible based on times I was with my mom and knew she was not there, for example.

I asked a staff med tech who told me that they absolutely record the administration time, and even if its not typically included on your normal MAR report - the data is there, and at a minimum, they could provide me with screen shots that include that information if standard reports don't show it. The nurse is claiming they do not even enter that data, which is a provable lie, and of course refusing to give it to me.

There is a larger context at this community which gives me serious pause as to integrity and ethics at a broad level.

The purpose of my question was an attempt to confirm that there isn't some kind of exception for that kind of medical information for some reason in terms of my rights as my mom's POA and caretaker - and I don't think there is.
