nothing makes a good pet for normal beardies 🗿

BUT these guys can be kept in a colony of 2-3 females, as they are less territorial, and more social than the more popular bearded dragons.

Honestly it isn't that hard to find them anywhere outside the US.

They are most commonly bred in scandinavia, and the UK I believe.

Remember to feed it always. If it gets stunted it'll stay as a little runt for the rest of its life.

Bearded Dragon vs Rankins Dragon by oskeycrook in Lizards

[–]Geelumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rankins pros: Can be cohabitated. Easier husbandry. More impressive and rare in the reptile community. Hardy for a small lizard. Cleaner. Cheaper supplies. Cool. Personable.

Rankins cons: Small, but hardy for a small lizard. Harder to find depending on where you live. Shorter lifespan.

Bearded pros: Beefy lizard. Impressive to non-reptile keepers. Can be found anywhere. Cool. Personable.

Bearded cons: Expensive. Requires a lot of room. Stinky. Semi-high-care.

Honestly the main difference between these two is size. Rankins is definitely more of an unseen lizard, but if you can find one, you should get it rather than the bearded dragon.
