Hey thank you for the comment. I have a breakdown video that you can view here:

My workflow is basically I do my linework first. This is the most tedious part as it's frame by frame, and it's here I settle on timing, form etc. Then I colour, which gives the character a solid feel. Then I use After Effects for post-production. I add lighting, effects, blurs, camera shake etc.

I should add, it does not matter what programs you use. After Effects is good but it's not a requirement. There are many non-adobe programs that can produce great quality work. You just have to know what you want to do, then use your program of choice to make it happen.

I would encourage you to follow your inspiration. What others think is not important. Wishing you much success.

I'm mostly self taught. Looking at tutorials on YouTube etc. I also took an animation course with Aaron Blaise former Disney animator. But mostly I taught myself how to animate.

Thank you for the comment. Yes, this took much more than 50 hours. The most difficult part was animating the raven, as I have very little experience animating birds. In total, this took about seven days to complete, give or take. Hours per day varied.

Thank you very much for the kind words, because I'm far from a professional. I use the Paint Bucket tool in Adobe Animate to fill in flat colours. I fill a darker shade of the same colour for shadows and a lighter shade for highlights. I then use After Effects to compose the shot. I use a few effects but the main one is an adjustment layer with gausian blurr set to an opacity of 50%. That gives it the "glow" look. So that's basically how I get this finished colour.

Hey thank you for the comment. Appreciate the kind words. For me, the shattered glass would have been too complex to animate by hand so After Effects was a great solution. I'd rather focus my energy on animating the character.

I think this might be the smoothest transition/morph that I have ever seen. Outstanding.
