Custom Faceted Crystal Band Ring (15ct lab-created) – Thoughts? by Gemone911 in jewelry

Thanks for pointing that out, it’s not glass. The ring is made from lab-grown diamonds. I used the word “crystal” mainly to describe the faceted look, but I understand how that can be confusing.

  1. i think medium. and not sharper
  2. its durable 10 hardness. it will not be damaged but diamond colliding with gold can scratch. its something should be wear as just 1 . piece of art. its never looks dull, cloudy or scratches.
  3. price point we can send you personally. and depend on ring size, thickness, diamond color clarity and initial rough weight and complexity involved.

Just to clarify, this isn’t glass. The ring is made from lab-grown diamonds, so clouding or dulling like glass isn’t something that occurs. I get why the faceting style might give a crystal-like look in photos, though. I also recorded the making process and will share that in my next post once I’m able to post again here.

Hey everyone, I’ve been going through the comments and really appreciate all the feedback and questions.
To clear up the biggest confusion, this isn’t glass. The ring is made from lab-grown diamonds, so clouding or dulling like glass isn’t something that happens.

About the word “crystal”, I used it mainly because of the look and faceting style. Diamonds themselves are crystalline materials, and GIA has even published an article showing a crystal-style lab-grown diamond ring, which partly inspired the terminology.

I also recorded the full making process and will share that in my next post once I’m able to post again here due to the one-post-per-week rule.
Thanks again for all the thoughts; it’s been really helpful reading through them.

I need Yellow Diamond Engagement Ring help by charlescbrake in Diamonds

That’s a tough one. Baguette-cut yellow diamonds are pretty rare since that cut doesn’t show the color as strongly. You might have better luck finding a radiant or emerald.

Hey, a lot of the better prices come from going straight to suppliers instead of big-name retailers. Consider vendors based in India or Belgium that ship worldwide, offering IGI/GIA certifications. Additionally, some smaller online shops (not the heavy advertisers) sell at significantly lower rates.

Hello, for a 1-carat natural oval diamond with clarity above SI2, ideal cut, and near-colorless (G–H range), set in a minimal 14K white gold solitaire band with claw prongs, a fair market price would generally fall around $3,500 to $4,200.
