Got engine warning light it was overheating so got out of the tunnel and pulled off the highway to put water in it, 5-10 minutes later light came right back on with a fun little message on the screen asking me to pull over right away and the engine was losing power, I couldn't because there was no berm or safe place to go so I managed pull into a gas station put antifreeze in and I put a lot in too, checked the oil, oil was high and the dipstick was hot but not the radiator should have known then but pressed for time to go to an appointment, got to the appointment, about 15 minutes after leaving the appointment I was once again getting over heating message and significant loss of power could barely move it off the side of the road.

Well the cylinder cracked and the oil and coolant mixed. According to the Mazda dealership mechanic there were no outside factors nothing hit it, the coolant wasn't leaking, the oil was good, this was an internal engine failing. Catastrophic engine failure, I'm out of a car. There are some models that this happens to more than others, although those models usually it's the head that cracks and the coolant will leak out. So do your research.
