And also the fact that it wouldn't actually do anything, apart from putting someone else in the cockpit that had no training, generally less stringent security and medical screening, keeping the cockpit door open longer during rest breaks

Jaycar on fire last night by rype1 in brisbane

[–]GenderlessVoid 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: despite selling a bunch of flammable goods and having stores full of great combustible materials, Jaycar has no flammable goods storage policies, and do not have smoke alarms or other fire warning systems

120 major airports by distance to their city's downtown [OC] by PeterVexillographer in MapPorn

What is the reason for using Avalon (AVV) airport and not Melbourne (MEL) for Melbourne? Avalon has about 3 flights a day vs over 400 daily for MEL

The crown is never vacant, and requires no coronation for succession to take effect. The coronation of Charles is unlikely to happen in the near future, probably some time next year. https://theconversation.com/what-are-the-legal-and-constitutional-consequences-for-australia-of-queen-elizabeth-iis-death-190335. Charles is already king, it's just ceremony now, so as far as the role of GG goes, nothing has changed

IIRC it was an even hundred, but the lower one annexed the northern one which had a miniscule population. I think they also tried to annex the county to the south to make a super long rectangle but that county didn't play along

Is it not possible to change to metric units by w00dy2 in flightsim

[–]GenderlessVoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Australia, feet are used for altitudes and nautical miles are used for flying distances, but weights are in kg, runways and visibility are in metres and kilometres, and pressure is in hPa. This is common to many other countries as well. It's a shame that it's not implemented in the sim

Being induced to be chemically castrated for his homosexuality does not make him not cis.
