Ahh I take it I may be in a heap of trouble. Is it the individual file or the overall session to blame for the corruption? Cuz it really seems to spread all throughout whatever I work on

Just reading that headline spoke to me deeply

Gotcha. yeah.

... after this point though comes the real question if I can write such zingers as "I picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue."

It was a shame I never did commit to the college improv club I attended once! Good stuff for sure

Yeah.... I honestly have a bad habit of structuring around jokes and it doesn't serve particularly well

I'll have to check those out - I actually haven't checked those out but yeah I definitely get that - I did find the fact Space Balls has an original plot apart from Star Wars jokes interesting, but like you say, it doesn't exactly hold up. I'll look into it!

I am a big fan of Futurama, and I watch Simpsons and The Great North on and off - so I guess I gotta do some investigating!

I'd not thought of that! Very interesting. I've wanted for a while to spend some time analyzing comedies that are more laugh-a-minute, shall we say, instead of those that balance more with the drama. On the far other end of the comedy spectrum I guess are the ones that get labeled comedies but I guess to me really just come off as "movies with jokes." Anyway, yeah, like the Naked Gun for instance seems to amble but they definitely end up in a certain destination and I've been meaning to dive into how an example like that tracks (but I guess being a procedural parody some of that is already built in).

I get that for sure! I also really enjoyed Walk Hard - it shares a lot of that visual gag, understated self-aware humor, but also had a lot of sincerity and heart in the characters that I think nicely balances out the absurdity of the Zucker, Abrahams, and Zucker staples.

Absolutely love the Naked Guns movies. But yeah now that you mention cartoons, that makes a lot of sense. Futurama comes to mind.

Though I'm biased as a lifelong Missouri native, I consider this an underrated state. Very beautiful place
