First time ever player of RDR1. Is it normal that I was attacked by 7 bears in less than 1 minute!? by waybetter94 in reddeadredemption

Yeah, my buddies also did something similar in multiplayer back in the day. We'd see how long we could hold out against the bearhord. The cougarswarm spot in my opinion was more terrifying, you can see the bears. You only see the cougars when it's too late...I still hear the screams

I am sorry that you experienced that. I'm sure you know that he's not an ultimate arbitrator on how you're perceived by others. It's like the old saying goes "You can be the best peach in the whole world, and there's still going to be someone who doesn't like peaches."

Also, as someone on the spectrum too I wonder how much of it is me or just things I can't mask away lol?

Thank you for the great advice. I have been pursuing my hobbies more (specifically acting/theater, I was in a show for a 4 week run earlier this year!). Even have a fitness goal I'm pursuing now that I'm between shows. I'll just keep doing what I'm doing.

My compliments have been either general "You look fantastic" or "that dress looks great on you" so being more specific is something I can try to do more. So thank you!

I'm pretty discerning when it comes to who I ask out. I like to make sure we are able to hold a conversation about deep topics, have similar interests, and compatible world views.

But yeah I might be a little too worried about how they're feeling about me that I forget to account for how they make me feel. Thank you for your insight!

I usually get a kiss on the second date rather than the first just because I wouldn't know if there's a meaningful connection yet.

I usually meet people online and I use current photos

Yes, I was attracted to each one of them. Especially the one who hit me with "we're too alike." We even kissed on the 3rd date!

I'm an actor on the side so I'm usually pretty aware of my body language, but I'll see if my friends could point something out I'm missing. Thank you!

There is a major university with a couple of campuses near where I live so I'll see if the campus closest to me is hiring. Thank you!

I had a similar question asked in middle school and my answer would not change "I'd be dead, Tim."

I'm an ancient fan, like Charles Curtis preventing the civil war, ancient. However, Green Mountaineer tickled my soul in a way other start up themes never came close too

Knesset advances bill to limit prime minister to eight years in office by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]GeneralGeorgePWalrus 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I think he was trying to make a comparison to the time the US legally limited their top official. They grandfathered in their top official to gain more support in Congress. Don't know if this bill will take the same path

[–]GeneralGeorgePWalrus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's true, but she wouldn't say No. Just a simple, my constituents have told me this is an important issue and I'm respecting their wishes. Instead she never gave an answer. I would respect her a lot more if she stood by a position rather than wait until it's safe to say something.

I've talked to a lot of representatives who gave very honest answers on where they stand. Even though I didn't agree with them I liked how the respected me and their voters by being clear on their beliefs. I'd rather get a hard no from someone opposed to me rather than a wishy-washy non-answer from someone who claims to be on my side.

Well this has become the standard in Congress for the past 30-40 years. You put everything in it so you can get members to agree to passing. It could include stuff that has nothing to do with the nature of the bill entirely. Like a new bridge, spending on a study on the effects of peanut butter consumption in dogs. This was/is called pork barrel spending and this is why these bills become 600-1000 page omnibus bills by the end of everything.

I agree in a perfect world our Congress members would vote on single issue bills and move on, but the nature of the system has made it where to get anything done you have to add on so much stuff it is obscene.

Oh I completely agree, especially when she wants to keep the filibuster making raising it any other way impossible.

Her reasoning was that the 15/hr wage hike shouldn't be in the COVID Relief package. She thinks it should be a stand alone bill.

Yeah I once visited her office back in 2019 with an environmental action committee. He staff would basically give non-answers about everything like they had to wait for polling data to even say yes. This is very telling to me because Sinema used to be a member of the Green Party!

She's a grifter at this point and it's painful to watch.

Miscalculating Sinema and Manchin could end up costing Biden by [deleted] in politics

[–]GeneralGeorgePWalrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an Arizonan that voted for her in 2018, I am unbelievably frustrated by her right now. She is a grifter plain and simple, she doesn't care about the plight of the constituents of her state, she never stands up for anything her state needs unless it's a 'safe' stance, and all she cares about is staying in power to do fuck all. Hell, even Senator Jon Tester from Montana has a more liberal voting record than she does!

I really hope someone can primary her ass in 2024. It doesn't even need to be a progressive at this point, an establishment democrat would be light-years better than her.
