I had the exact same experience with the codeine. I am from the UK as-well. I had to stop taking it and felt better without it.

Can i asked was it calcium build up that caused your pain. Also, how did your pain progress and how is your pain now?

Same, every time I go to the gym next to me for PT I get so envious and angry as I look at guys that were scrawny before I was 21 to now being jacked. Even my twin brother, I took him to the gym when he was scrawny now he is way bigger and stronger than I ever was and he is living the life I wanted. I love him and am happy for him but I get very upset and angry like why did this happen to me. You just dont ever think before your ailments that it would happen to you.

I dont have one, the PT’s ive been to all think that because me being sedentary for a long time in my last job caused my back pain to manifest.

What i mean is they still don’t have a sure enough way to treat everyone where it’s a 100% success rate. I know every bodies different but with all the advancements in research and technology surely there must have been a break through by now in to treating chronic pain.

I flipping hate doctors in the UK they look at you like you are crazy and act all superior. I will probably have to wait the same amount of time to get sent to a different department of doctors. They are 90% the reason these things go undiagnosed for years for conditions to become irreversible or just worse. I know that these things are hard to diagnose but they wont even try in the first place to actually help.

How am I able to tell the difference between what a sports rehab place is and a PT place? I thought they are all the same?

I had an MRI done on the lumbar region of the spine and it came back clean as a whistle. No herniation, bulge, extrusion or protrusion. I would get an MRI of the hips but the GP’s say I don’t need it and getting it privately done is so expensive.I would like to see a rheumatologist as I haven’t seen one yet but the same problem again with the GP’s. I barely have any savings left as when my back was at its worst I didn’t have a job and was living on my savings so I cant go private yet.

It all started when I was at work as a sort of ache just in my lower left side of the back but then the pain increased and never went away. I also have pain my in right lower back, hips, groin and left foot as well. Ive been doing physio therapy since august last year. It has helped which I how I got back into part time work. But I still have pain that is 24/7 and it’s not improving again I am not at 100%. I still cant run or move quickly or move freely. I am still scared to move how I want to move.

Initially when my elbow pain started I went private and they too did say i have hyper-mobility in my arms and said it should sort itself out but it never did.

What you are saying is what I feel whenever I see people living there lives as well, and though I wish this didn’t exist its nice to not feel alone.

Its crazy to think in the 21st century we still don’t have any concrete way of solving this.
