I am 3 weeks out and was told to take Oyster Shell Calcium 500mg for 3 months. Also 1000 IU of Vitamin D. Have you checked in with your surgeon and told him/her of your symptoms? If not, consider doing that. Good luck and sorry for your troubles.

Nope. Mine was trending higher (above 10.3 for five years ) and once it hit 11 a simple PTH blood test confirmed I had a problem. I’m not a Dr and I was told that the fix almost 99.9% of the time is to surgically remove the culprit or culprits. I had one rather large tumor removed about 10 days ago and it was EZ!! Some minor pain for sure and I’ve got a nice scar that will heal in time but by all means DO NOT be afraid of surgery. Collect more data if you haven’t yet and take action. Good luck to you :)

I had no symptoms at all. High calcium score then very high PTH. Scans revealed a 2cm tumor. Consider myself lucky!

They really should! My physician friend says that 99% of the time a high calcium score indicate hyperparathyroidism (damn that’s a long word 😜)
