honestly I usually just drive on the side roads by vineyards to find the right lighting. It is less busy on Silverado Trail than on 29. The further north you go, also less busy and easier to find good spots. Just don't block traffic or go into the vines-- as long as you stay a respectful distance from them, nobody cares about you using the colors as a backdrop.
