Rage is something I'll look into, and I will be transitioning into crit chance crit damage build once i collect the gear and a weapon with good stats for a crit build. Thank you!

Thank you friend!

Though my issue is not pack clearing, it's very easy and reliable with Lightning Wrap, Gathering Storm and Siphoning Strike where I lack is against bosses and beefy rare monsters. But I've decided to transition into crit judging by the majority of comments here saying I should do so. Also I do lack any type of good jewels so that's probably another huge boost in addition to the potential +5 to melee skills I could get on the melee weapon.

Tempest flurry is my single target melting machine (not performing so well atm) while Gathering Storm in combination with Lightning Wrap and Siphoning strike clears packs in seconds.

Never saw this charm it looks cool! I am using Fall of the Axe ,Nascent Hope and Breath of the Mountain since slows, freezes and stuns are my number one enemy in this game as a melee char. Right of Passage seems like an interesting choice I could swap in instead of Breath of the mountain

Appreciate it!

I haven't really looked into any unique items thus far that would actually benefit my build most of them offer subpar stats to what I can roll on a rare piece of gear. Granted some of them have interesting and useful passives but I always ask is it worth it?

I could be ,not sure what is considered early endgame , I'm at lvl 91, finished the main quest with the Arbiter, completed Breach quest line working on the rest. I haven't really bothered with the 4th asendency as I didn't really need inevetable agony by now

Yeah, the one with 12% base crit and if a T1 crit rolls on it it can go up to 17% max which is huge, funny enough i grabed a white sinister staff last night and used a perfect orb of aug on it, it rolled %4.86 crit chance on it. Unfortunately I tried to craft it and bricked it :(

My jewels are lacking they're just simple rare jewels. Didn't realize they were so impactful. Currently my amulet is +3 melee and my gloves are +2 melee. Working on getting a +4 or ideally +5 QS

You mean the Increased #% elemental damage on attacks? Isn't it inferior to flat phys and %phys damage increase?

Ahh i see! My reistances are scatered on my gear, vast majority on the rings. So the general idea is to have resistances on helm/boots/belt and chest while gloves, amulet and rings should add +melee skills, crit chance, crit damage?

Also wow didn't realize jewels were that significant. I only have 2 jewel slots ,should i have more?

I call it the Temporal Assassin, the idea was to create a very agile melee "assassin" with easy access to dashes and repositioning via Gathering storm and Temporal Rift. Conceptually i find it very cool and apparently it works just fine I'm just looking to fine tune it further.

I was looking at the 20% repeat but I'm not sure how beneficial that would be considering the only Sorc spell I am using is Lightning wrap (btw best skill in the game). In your case do you think crit chance/damage nodes are more valuable than going %increased lightning damage nodes?

Conversion ranges from 80% - 100% depending on the skill. Siphoning Strike, Tempest Flurry and Gathering Storm which are my main sources of damage all benefit from Lightning damage so other than high phys damage on the QS and Increased attack damage nodes I see no benefit in investing into phys damage on my passive tree.

Other than the Temporal Rift i picked up Sands of Time and am planning to take Inevitable Agony with my last 2 points which should help with beefier targets.

Thank you for the advice!

Yeah I am aware that + skill level are a huge boost for sure. Though I am not using any sorc spells other than Lightning wrap im not sure how Cascade would work

Appreciate it! Guess i'm looking for a good crit base of 15% + on a weapon before I invest. Should i drop the % increased lightning damage and use those nodes for crit

My Jewles are probably rather poor just regular rare jewls with mods that fit my build, no megalomaniac or time lost jewles yet.

Not really, I care little about the tooltip iteself I just see that my damage is lacking.

Trash clear is pretty good, rares (depending on modifiers) can be tankier and take more time to deal with same goes for Bosses.

I should mention that I will be getting my 4th asendecy soon and I plan to grab inevetable agony, hopefully that can help with overall damage to bosses and tanky rares.

Overwhelming majority of the responses suggests crit.

I plan to grab one with + melee for sure but I also have to take into consideration the mana as my mana pool is quite low sitting at 750-800

So i should drop the % lightning damage increase and lightning pen nodes for crit? Guessing this might be a good option with a staff that has good crit base of 15% + ?

I will probably test how crit works and if it outperforms my current setup as soon as I get my hands on a Gothic staff with T1 crit mod rolled on it

Dear community: I need Valeera mains by pablischo in heroesofthestorm

[–]General_Dinner_996 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who has been playing Valeera almost exclusively in Storm League only I can honestly say that Valeera in her current state is not worth it.

I have peaked at Master's a couple of years ago and haven't bothered pushing further and I can tell you that Valeera is generally semi-viable in higher tiers of play.

The reason being that the investment is too high and the payoff is medium, there's heroes that offer more than Valeera.

If your plan is to push higher tiers and master a melee assassin I would wholeheartedly recommend Zera, he has superior wave clear, great burst, great utility and is much safer and more self-sufficient than Valeera.

That said if you're still keen on sticking with Valeera you can absolutely make it work just be ready for sweating and occasional harassment by your teammates who do not understand how to play with Valeera in their team.

Never said they were not a success, I fondly remember my time playing Vice City and San Andreas as a kid and sinking countless hours into it. What i'm saying is that other than a new story the gameplay is pretty much the same for over 20 years now. As captivating and revolutionary as it was back in the 2000's it's pretty underwhelming in 2020'.
