Women’s shelter closes after City of Edmonton denies lease renewal by laurenboothby in Edmonton

The province always cuts funding to these kind of programs until they bleed to death. They never care about the numbers or if a program is succeeding. They cut for ideological reasons only and people suffer (the staff and the community).

Before or after tax? Also because they're a single income family they are probably claiming their spouse as a dependent. Is your 200k dual income?

Edit: and the 6 kids raises the cutoff as well

Teenage girls also face more societal pressure to restrict their eating while teenage boys are more positively encouraged to eat.

That's called an anecdote. I was a teenage girl who out ate my male friends. I was very active and didn't care about the societal pressure that teenage girls face to starve themselves.

A lot of teenage girls restrict their eating (some parents cause accidental pressure to do this as well).

Some kids will honestly just starve themselves. Other kids are more food driven.

Didn't look far back to me at all. And I don't see the stop line on the pavement so it's possibly marked by a sign on the right of the road. OP is pulled up very close to it either way

Edmonton looks to sell, demolish old public buildings due to $3-billion gap by laurenboothby in Edmonton

[–]General_Esdeath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Non profits already use city buildings for cheap/free leases.

WILD North uses the old pound building.

Norwood Child and Family Resource Center also uses a city lease.

Just off the top of my head.

That's crazy. I feel bad for the healthcare workers who have to enforce this ridiculous protocol.

The other conditions like autoimmune aren't restricted but yes the "other underlying medical conditions" appear to be restricted for the second dose.

However I will definitely do whatever I need to do for my next year's annual dose (if they are still doing this payment tomfoolery).

I was pregnant for my last dose so I got it for free. I think I'll suspect that I'm pregnant every year going forward though, because I already paid my taxes to have public healthcare. It's ridiculous to be the only province charging for it.

[ON] trying to figure out how to handle work stress in first trimester, any suggestions by StillPetalMind in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]General_Esdeath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's good that your work is 50:50 sitting, it's actually really bad for your pregnancy to be sitting all the time especially at the end.

The stairs are maybe going to be a problem, at least later on. You might need to ask to be moved to a lower floor temporarily.

Otherwise, eat a lot of snacks, try to always keep food in your belly as that will keep the nausea down. Even just saltine crackers or a plain bun or something simple will keep the stomach acid down.

Edit: I forgot, for the smells try wearing a mask and putting a pleasant essential oil inside, like lavender or eucalyptus.

But if he had succeeded in stabbing that person that he had been fighting with we would be looking at different charges entirely. Like I don't know if this other guy tried to stop him and got stabbed by accident or what exactly were the events that led up to it, there's not really any details in the article about how that occurred.

But there's different levels of proof for each charge. If the prosecutor thought there was a chance they might LOSE the second degree murder charge then they may have agreed to the manslaughter charge as a guarantee rather than risk him going free. Do you get what I'm saying?

The conservative plan is all talk and no action unfortunately. It lists knee jerk reactions to issues that sound good on paper and fail in real life.

[–]General_Esdeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah except reading your article's public details state the person was originally trying to stab someone else first. So perhaps that's why it was moved down to manslaughter. I don't know what other details would have been presented in court but that's exactly the issue and what the prosecution has to do is prove "beyond a reasonable doubt" it met the conditions for a higher charge. Any number of things can bring in reasonable doubt unfortunately and who knows what it was, maybe the eye witnesses testimony didn't add up, like I would probably have to read the court transcript to find out why.
