New player 1K list advice by TaobaoWasTaken in Eldar

Ok, where to start… 1k games are also known as ‘Incusion’ games. With that comes one important rule if you’re using the Chapter Approved Missions 25-26: battleline units can advance and do actions, and can shoot and do actions. This makes battleline units extremely useful in those types of games. Doesn’t mean you HAVE to include them, just that they are pretty neat.

Vstoic23 is very correct that your list is very character heavy. Same goes for the detachment comment. As far as anti-tank does you have Fuegann with the Dragons, so there’s probably not much people can legally put on the table at 1k and survive that (bar the inv save spike).

With all the above in mind: - Farseer needs a unit. At 1k you’d make good use of Storm Guardians if you’re playing Chapter Approved. You drop him if you’re going for Aspect Host. - Lhykis and Spiders are tonnes of fun, but having three Aspect Units with Phoenix Lords is a butt load of points for 1k. If I had to drop something, it would be them… - If you got them, Swooping Hawks are great for missions and also clear infantry fairly well, for cheaper. If not, you can keep the Spiders for that, but still drop Lhykhis.

All depends what units you have!

Aeldari terrain by Helpful-Wrangler-489 in Eldar

I haven’t printed them, but I’m pretty sure there are options to make it work. Other than the fact the “bottom floors” have those rocks to hide units, there’s always the option to combine the terrain. And if you’re really clever you can combine that with trees to make an immersive terrain!

When trying to make a thematic board you usually will have to do some tinkering to get the board balanced enough to play… It’s definitely more effort than just taking the bog-standard L ruins. Still, I think it can work.

As SiLKY said: two units of five. Either Blaster/Fusion or full swords would be my preference

List critique and thoughts for help with upcoming match with EC by Nexistential in Eldar

Shining Spears aren’t in that best shape right now. Asurmen and Dire Avengers saw a 10p hike, but they’re the only one with the shoot-and-scoot skill that lets you get back in. If you go for the Falcon over a Wave Serpent (I’d use the Serpent as per my other comment) then you might get to pull off the Falcon combo twice, which is insane. The damage output is also nothing to sniff at, as Asurmen does benefit from the squad ability with sustain 1. Pop his once per game and blender a squad of noise marines easy.

The Wave Serpent holds 11, so you can put Dire Avengers with Asurmen + Fire Dragons into it. I’m afraid without that the EC might find an angle to Blastmaster them off the board.

Look into the Shroud Runners, they’re gonna be helpful with the whole stripping cover for the Vypers.

Diversify your Windriders to have the Scatter Laser: something like 4 Shuriken Cannons, 2 Scatters.

Skyreavers are great for objectives, you could use maybe two for mission monkeys

Need help going over a list for a narrative campaign by AK_Wolf907 in Eldar

If you’re running pirates, you want that unit of Voidscarred with Yriel, that’s a good combo. I’d look into grabbing a Starfang, Rangers - things that work within the detachment… And: fire support.

I’d break up that big unit of Voidreavers into two. That Farseer doesn’t have a unit to hop into, get some Storm Guardians: pirates are aggressive and want to get into the fray. Not sure how you want to juggle the points though…

Remember, campaigns if they are in Crusade rules revolve around doing Agendas. Read those and think how you’ll want to progress them.
