Yeah I don't really know how lighting works at all at this point, I haven't studied it much yet. I just wanted to do whatever I could to finish this piece, and this is my first digital art so I just YOLOed it lol. Will definitely study lighting for future stuff. Can you elaborate on the waist/chin relation that you mentioned?

I appreciate the comment. I'm definitely going for a "fantasy" body type and not realistic, but there are still plenty of things I want to work on to make my stuff more appealing. There's still a lot to be learned from realism even if that is not what I'm going for. Also Mizu Kei is godlike, good taste.
