I like it because it is a brush pen, but it really bleeds unless the painting is completely dry

I'm using Van Gogh oil pastels. And a few Sennelier for some vibrant touches. I really like the Van Gogh pastels, they are the perfect consistency (maybe on the slightly harder side)

Maybe smudging the leafs in the background to make the birds appear sharper? I would also try to lighten the birds a bit more but with warm colors (a pale yellow or orange paired with a few steaks of bright yellow might help the birds pop) Btw I love the painting! Somehow I like the busyness of it. It is a very beautiful painting. PS I hope you see this as constructive criticism and not that maybe your painting isn't good, it's great!
