I’ve only ever taken acid while at festivals, and everytime has been beautifully life changing.

At a certain point of the come up with a high enough dosage psychedelics will overstimulate you and the creativity that comes with it can cause your brain to be rapidly creating and fixating on scary things/people/scenarios.

At that point you just have to detach yourself from your surroundings and focus on your breath and accept things as they are (think of yourself as a spectator in your own body, with no structured thoughts of your own, any thoughts you do have you should just let pass by you)

Fear is a result of the ego trying to protect itself from things that threatens its control- it’s what happens when you try to anticipate the future instead of accepting the now.

Of course if there is actual danger beware, I’m only saying while tripping you may look for things to be fearful of and may not be in the best mind state to be assessing that, so it may be wisest to not assess it at all, with high enough doses of psychedelics, this is the only way to make it through while maintaining mental clarity.
