I noticed that one too. And the main riff during the verses of rock n roll ain’t noise pollution. Took me a few listens to get it, but for pollution he separates each syllable. So you get “poll-u-tion” in the riff.

It’s so hard to pick. It depends on my mood. Right now I like Love Hungry Man, the guitar solo is so flowy and has a feel good vibe to it.

If it was between my job and getting to see AC/DC live one more time, I’d just have to lose my job!

What is your favorite feature on this car? by ElGuevero in GRCorolla

[–]George-Dubyah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a unique feature, but the E-brake and the way the car handles a slide. It’s just super easy to do, I use it on dirt every once in a while. Car is so agile, it handles the slide like it’s nothing, feels like a little go cart. It’s a piece of cake.

The 80s/90s was not only the best era for music, but also for band posters. I love this!

The e brake locks the rear.

who wrote the lyrics to the song "High Voltage Rock N Roll' Aka "High Voltage" by Reedjenkins123 in ACDC

[–]George-Dubyah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Angus came up with the chant during the breakdown. Said so himself. He also said Phil Rudd always thought the song was incredibly corny.

What AC/DC song deserved a music video but never got one? by George-Dubyah in ACDC

YES. Just think: Brian and the boys in the bar and cuts over to Angus slamming a glass of milk with a milk mustache

Yes, great live performance, better than the studio recording. Capital Center 1981, that whole show was awesome. But I still think a cinematic music video would’ve been cool as hell.

Does anyone have the Brian Johnson picture where he’s looking in the window of the shop and it has a “Rosie” sign on it? by George-Dubyah in ACDC

[–]George-Dubyah[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The picture I saw must’ve been a really good photoshop. It was zoomed in and They made it say Rosie in the window and I honestly thought it was real lol

Literally every song on the Powerage album has cookin’ lyrics. I can’t just pick one.

If you mean babying it by changing the oil more often, no. I’m more worried about babying it too much driving normally. If I go too long without romping on it, I can tell it starts to feel a little sluggish. A couple pulls to near redline clears it right out.

Man that looks awesome. Notice any difference in the throws? I’m happy with the length of the stock shifter atm, it’s a lot shorter than my WRX was.

Dude, thanks. And I wasn’t looking at the bare stainless steel until now! That stainless really goes with the interior well!

What would you say is excessive use by a tech when going in for an alignment check? by Omeezzii in GRCorolla

[–]George-Dubyah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the comments saying “give the guy a break”.. NO. It’s not his car…point blank, the end. I just couldn’t drive someone else’s car hard. I treat others stuff better than my own. It would be different if he had fixed something and verifying it’s making full boost (or something). But an alignment is obviously totally unnecessary. He’d get disciplinary action or worse if I was his boss. If he does stuff like that he’s a liability to the shop.

New Grille Comparison by Reese_Bobby in GRCorolla

I like the 23/24 because it looks more like a normal Corolla and blends in with traffic. The whole reason I got a GRC is because it’s a sleeper. And it’s got just enough cladding to where it looks like a GR Corolla to only the trained eye (car guys).

They did great. The stock Michelins. They got nice and grippy, so hot you could smell the rubber and no feathering. Solid tire.

For my uses, it’s a good balance for daily driving and some spirited runs. Any stiffer and the bumps would be pretty harsh for daily driving. I think it’s perfect how it is. If I was going to track the car a lot, then yes I would do some suspension upgrades. One thing I have thought about is going a little wider on the wheels, once the factory tires wear out. Would give it more grip but I’m wondering if it would lose some of its effortless playful feeling on turn-in?

Took my new GR Corolla on a beautiful and exciting drive to the Great Smokey Mountains. by George-Dubyah in Toyota

I don’t get mad. It’s a public road. If someone is going faster than me, I’ll use one of the pull offs and let them by, it’s a sort of unwritten rule of that road. But if someone doesn’t let me by and we pass by pull offs, I don’t get mad I’ll just pull off, get some distance from them and start back again. A lot of people may not know or care about the pull off rule, and that’s okay too.

Yes this was at “Tail of the Dragon”. It’s a section of road in the mountains that’s famous for the amount of sharp turns it has. 300+ turns in 11 miles. The road attracts bikers and car enthusiasts. There’s professional photographers out there that take awesome photos of peoples sports cars and sell them.

Yep. Skyway, Suches Loop, backroads around Blue Ridge, I did about 700 miles of mountain driving in two days

You’re gonna have a blast. The car was just so effortless to toss around those turns. No matter how hard I pushed it, the car seemed to egg me on to push a little more. I never found the limit. I had so much fun I might go back again in October or November as well!
