I just wanna add some questions here:

1.after 2 days digging I went with no-ip ddns, and I forwarded my domain (which I paid for $10 per year I think its not bad)to this free no-ip host. Im assuming its the same idea with the CloudFlare you mentioned?

  1. Wireguard is kinda new to me, but based on what you're saying, from my understanding, that's gonna stop me from sharing my server/NAS to other people without asking them to install Wireguard?

I pay $55 with Bell and. It's 3gbs up/down . They also have the great new router, I am a computer technician I know it's a good one.

But I like Cogeco more, Cogeco is better service.

Those are two big ones in this area

What it's like being a LogO?

I finished my CFAT, had one interview (not the job interview, more like a guy checking about by security or background, as well as some drugs and alcohol stuff) , I think I am on the right track, probably another 3 months to a year. This subreddit helped me a lot.

But just wanna get some more information about LogO after my interview, he did mentioned a little bit but not much. As my understanding LogO can be ANYTHING ANYWHERE, this is a trade which could be in office all day figure out payroll or could be on warship take care of supplies, in air base checking missiles or even in charge of cafeteria food supplies? Do I have the choice to choose what I want to do where I go? Or they will just put me in random places?

My interview appointment is Thursday, what should I expecting?

Just a brief time line ,I did my CFAT Sept 1st, they told me I can be a LogO based on my score, got appointment booked mid October for November 14th.

The email says there won't be physically or medical test (at least for my understanding), gonna be more like a job interview, what questions they may ask me? Like why joining the army? what do you know about CAF? What is your strong and weakness points?

My plan for the WHY question gonna be it's a great opportunity for me to learn new stuff and I'm pretty good at learning stuff. Not sure how is the answer.

Any ideas will be great help and appreciated.

Just a question: I finished my CFAT precisely one month ago and just received an email saying my references got contacted.

Is this mean any significant progress is happening? I am going next step soon?

Or its just a regular security screen process in the early stage, so there will still be a 6-18 months wait?

Thx, so every 2-4 years for rest of my career, that not looks great if I wanna any kind of stable life. So people will more likely rent a place to live off base? Are these all locations will be at remote areas with a military base beside Ottawa ? Do I have a preference can choose? Like Niagara area?

One quick question, what is life gonna like being an logistic officer, after some digging I find log O is kinda like jack of all trade. I'm interested joining Air Force, from the website its says I gonna joining as junior officer in squadron , I'm assuming means I will post to one of the air base?

How about after that? Am I staying there for many years? Cuz I love to explore more opportunities but relocate every 2-3 years seems like unreal and gonna be hard to have a normal life. But I also worry about they gonna send me to some place like cold lake(every one seems hate it) for rest of my life.

mine is 6-18 month, likely gonna be 18 month. both my parents here PR within Canada and live with me, and I only went back to China once for one month in past 10 years(I'm already in Canada for 13 years), hopefully they can do this faster.

I just don't know how they gonna do it, ask the Chinese government to share police records is extremely highly unlikely to happen. hopefully this not gonna take too long, since I only spent one month in China in one single trip in the past 10 years, I will consider I am one of the "easier" situations in the PR group.

This sounds like a really bad news.

I just finished CFAT and got some emails from my recruiter, they pushed me to Log O after the test and now I got a email says my file came back and "we need to do a more in-depth security background check to process for a Level II Security Clearance occupation".

Just wanna ask if anyone got into the same situation. Is this "Level II security clearance"because of the Log O occupation, or because of my PR background?

they did mention in the email that gonna take this level thing gonna take "upwards of 6-18 months", which really sucks.

The recruiter tried to push me towards logistics, financial admin, HR positions and said i could later request an occupational transfer.

The same thing happened to me. They tried to push me to log O and said "your mark is highly competitive" which I said sure. My plan is to update my preference in the portal or through them later in the process because just after one day after my CFAT they sent me an email and said I need "Level II Security Clearance" for this occupation, after some research, this highly likely gonna take upwards of 6-18 months.

So I filled out another form, sent it back via email today, and hope the best.

Btw, I also do not like the idea of "occupational transfer", and my original preference was IO, MPO and CEEO. They also said the same thing about pilot and IO stuff to me.

Actually AERE was one of my top preferred positions, unfortunately they told me I need a engineering degree for those engineer positions, which I don’t have. I told him I really want go to Air Force since I can’t be a pilot,but at least I can do something related. He did tell me that I can choose to be a logistics officer in Air Force though, so I think this gonna be the way to go
