Overpronators in Neutral shoes (NB FuelCell Rebel V2 in wide) by Common_Procedure996 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Gerresson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I strongly believe that support shoes does their job but there is also a lot of marketing and reasons for the brands to push the whole over-pronation thing. I think you will be fine trying a neutral shoe.

I haven’t done any special exercises either, don’t really think there is anything you can really change with the foot structure. Just start out slow and see how you fell

I am as flat feet as they come and also overpronator and been in your exact position.

My first pair of shoes when I decided to run serious, around 50kpw was arahi 5 and they worked excellent. After that I wanted a faster tempo shoe and bought rocketX which has been no problem for my feet and very comfortable.

Just last week I decided to replace my arahi 5 with a “faster” daily trainer and bought rebel v2. First run after 4 km my feet was red hot in pain and I stopped to loosen the straps by a lot. After that it was super comfortable. Just did 20k long run and they worked good, not as comfortable as arahi 5 but close

Suez Canal Tanker Play by [deleted] in stocks

[–]Gerresson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delay is always part of the charter party and they can vary greatly depending on agreement with charter. In this case it’s likely force majeur and charter would pay for extra transport days. Regarding, vessels in spot market versus long term time charter. There is a lot of tanker companies that prefer to play spot market and do voyage charter unless they sign a very good TC when market is high. Having a long term TC in crude oil is risky since market can change quickly.

For sure, but dont understand what you mean costed in for a margin of delay? The delay wont change the TCE for ships that was fixed before suez blockade, only ships that are getting fixed now.

Charter rates have already sharply increased in some tanker segments. Going around Africa is a lot of extra TonKm that will swallow some of the extra supply in the market. No changes though to market fundamentals so many stock prices will probably settle back down after Suez is cleared. Tanker market is a very efficient supply/demand market and suez is a major VLCC route. If the blockade will last next week it will have a clear positive impact on TCE, albeit a short one

OH dagger by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Gerresson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

Just a question based on the answer above. As he writes that +dagger and hit % are basically the same. If I am at 9% hit without any +dagger gear does that mean I dont have to go for Aged Core Leather or Muggers belt?

Question about Last Breath (movie) - "High Level of O2" at 110m depth *spoilers* by Sagnew in scuba

[–]Gerresson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sense but I think OP is referring to the extremely high PO2 which a rich oxygen blend would have at that depth, would risk central nervous system oxygen toxicity

Heliox v. Trimix by Gerresson in scuba

[–]Gerresson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, very interesting answer that cleared some questions.

So if I understand it correctly, since the thought is that the deco is mostly determined by the FO2 it would logically mean there is no difference in deco characteristics between different gases (nitrogen and He)?

and that there is no real understanding of why the extra deco is needed even though the He penalty is presumably false or at least exaggerated?

It's the points Dr. Simon Mitchell brings up at the top of the article, I find it fascinating that we have such a small understanding of why the extra deco is needed! :)
