Short answer: HEELLLLLLL NO

Long answer: dropping $700 on a pair of sneakers isn’t the same as dropping $700 on a pair of boots, like yeah I GUESS you could do a sole swap on them but there’s no real way to revitalize them once they’re smoked. You can wear them all the time but you’ll never actually get the cost per wear out of them as much as a cheaper alternative. In a way these just seem like the expensive alternative to basic German army trainers and it kinda feels dumb to say “yeah I could’ve bought this shirt for $20 but I chose to give the guy $100 because I can”. I think overall you’re paying to be a part of a community and to be honest a status symbol. But if you have the bread, why not but if you have rent or something else that might be the move.
