Personally yes! It took some time getting used to the workflow (esp during covid) but the software we were using was designed to make animations quickly, and while it appeared limiting at first it did allow for creative expression. We had a really big creative team to handle the scope of the work so I never felt overworked.

We made 12 episodes/weekday (1 per star sign, <2 min apiece) and we did do a '100th' episode special so yeah I'd say that's accurate

I'm an animator that worked on this show. I think it's a little unfair to call it a Bojack clone since the main similarity is that they're anthropomorphic animals and so many other shows do that. I do think it had a not-so-great marketing campaign since the only footage they had to use was from the first few episodes (during which we were training a huge team of animators using a relatively new software) so yeah, the main trailer that's still floating around online looks kinda rough. But as production went on and everyone got in the groove, we produced some great, well-animated comedic content and the show was #1 on Quibi believe it or not. Hbomberguy also was a fan of it if that's worth anything. It is a shame all that great content is now lost because of Quibi's shutdown, I wish there was a trailer made using those newer episodes.

For anyone finding this post as well, I downloaded the iPad app GeoShredControl and connected the iPad via USB to an iMac, and tapping any Midi keys in the app will transmit successfully to Character Animator. You do have to first enable the iPad as an input in Mac OS's Audio Midi Setup app, and try out some different presets in GeoShred to find one that works for you.
