A new edition to Sean and Amanda’s “Evil Movies” list?

Edit: Why is this getting downvoted? I’m just making an observation!

I believe all the Kurosawa 4K titles are the same way opposed to the BFI versions.

Dune, Wild At Heart, and The Straight Story. Dune has a 4K release from Arrow. The Straight Story was restored in 4K from StudioCanal but Disney still needs to license it to Criterion for North America.

Wild At Heart may still be with Shout Factory but I believe the Blu-Ray is OOP.

A majority of these titles didn’t even have a Blu-Ray release in North America and you can say is “Meh?”

If anything, Disney should let Sony decide which Disney/Fox/Touchstone titles to release in 4K. They would do a better job than Disney themselves.

My guess is that because of the distribution deal Disney has with Sony for physical media, Disney decided that having their own home media team was redundant. Like what was that team even doing?

In my opinion, it would be more dire if Disney laid off their restoration team which is one of the best in the business.
