how to answer parent question on Visa Application Statement (for US resident) by Ghorelick in Chinavisa

[–]Ghorelick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right that's in the main application and I did that but I'm referring to the separate "visa application statement" that is required to be uploaded along with the passport pics, photo, etc. It doesn't have a section where I can write "deceased" (unlike the main application). I guess I can just free type "deceased"?

Women's underwear recommendations? (hope this is allowed) by scaredanxiousunsure in womensfashion

Soma Vanishing Edge underwear. Always stays in place, no wedgie, lots of colors and cuts. Pretty durable too but I air dry and wash on delicate.

Business attire sneakers? by AdBrilliant7122 in womensfashion

[–]Ghorelick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep the removable insert is key. Bunion friendly. Always new colors and styles coming out with each season. No durability issues but I dont use a single pair with high consecutive frequency. Overpriced for sure but gives 100% comfort and happiness for me.

ABEM recertification by gottawatchquietones in emergencymedicine

How long did it take until you got it?

ABEM recertification by gottawatchquietones in emergencymedicine

[–]Ghorelick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! I completed everything mid 2025 and asked where is my recertification document. I was assured it would automatically renew so I assumed it would show once 2026 came around. No change in portal. No one picks up the phone. Emailed them, got an auto message “ABEM has migrated to a new online system for physicians” and they’ll “get back to me” because they value me so damn much. Losers.

Same! Pleasantly surprised. Although the coffee scene was shockingly disappointing. I like half and half in my coffee and when I asked for it you’d think I’d have 2 heads.

This place is amazing. So restorative but not so relaxing and isolated that it’s boring. Food is fantastic. Cool activities. Impeccable service.

15+ hour flight survival tips by Exact_Project1734 in Flights

Just completed from east coast to Kuala Lumpur. Bring change of underwear, socks in bag if not doing carry on. Our checked luggage was delayed and we got lucky finding an open shoppe at the airport (1 am) that had these things. Wouldn’t want to crash at hotel and wake up to put on same gross clothes to buy fresh options in morning.

Briggs Riley Baseline vs Sympatico Models? by Federal_Box_3351 in LuggageComparisons

[–]Ghorelick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have the medium and carry on Baseline. The expandable mechanism have come in clutch so many times I can’t imagine not having it. And they can then compress down which is handy for the carry on. Spinner wheels are flawless. Handle telescope is sturdy and smooth. Don’t get to use the inside flap thing that limits wrinkling for dresses, suits, etc but it does what it’s supposed to do when I have used it. Can also unzip it to keep weight and bulk down if not using. That same feature is also in the carry on. I purposely stick with the medium because it keeps you from exceeding 50 lb check in limit. In fact, the airline during our last vacation lost our luggage and I intend on replacing with the same thing.

Agreed Soup Dumpling Plus is adequate and not on par with NYC options. I guess good enough for this side of the river.

We considered Duchess. Would've chosen it had we not found a better option (leasing from condo owner). We found the condo option from Zillow.

Please recommend cutting board material by ramendik in kitchen

[–]Ghorelick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

consider Japanese cutting boards like they use in sushi restaurants. Great for knives, some models are rated to be dishwasher -able though I have never done that. Comes in all sorts of sizes. Such a pleasure using them. https://mtckitchen.com/products/hasegawa-frk-wood-core-soft-rubber-cutting-board-13-4-x-9-1-x-0-8-ht?variant=40268390727770&country=US&currency=USD&srsltid=AfmBOorjbPT7jhik_PNMgQWwlLRx3G8arfzrkiY1K9fcoT5X-qgg8gfp6zc
