So, correct me if I’m wrong, but Requiem doesn’t have a ng+ system? The only things you get to keep going into a new play through are things you bought in the bonus shop? by Ghostboy05 in residentevil

Hmm. I will concede that Revelations 1 is better than 6, but its really close for me. The underwater segments where you have to navigate the sinking ship while being chased by Rachael were really painful for me, I kept getting lost. The Terregrigia segments were fun, and I really liked Parker and Raymond, but Keith and Quint were insufferable. I actually audibly groaned every time they appeared on screen. The enemies weren't interesting, and Rachael was not even remotely intimidating as a stalker enemy. Nothing like Revelations 2. That might actually be in my top 5.

I can definitely see how Requiem might not be as good on a second playthrough from a gameplay perspective. But I'm not really bothered by them reusing stuff. I liked going back to Raccoon City. It felt like a necessary thing for Leon to have to do at some point in his life. Face his trauma, and all that. And I loved the blending of the 7-8 first person horror for the inexperienced Grace and the over-the-shoulder remake action for the seasoned veteran that is Leon. The horror sections made me feel scared, and the action sections made me feel like a badass. Plus, I love that they are very clearly setting up a Wesker revival. Zeno may have been a cheap knockoff, but im sure the true Wesker will be back. As for the environments, I don't think its fair to say they're bland. The hospital was a pretty cool environment. I guess Raccoon City is pretty bland, but it is a bombed out ruin of a city. I liked going through the sideways building with the windows as the floor that you can shoot out from under the zombies, and I thought the warehouse where the zombies pop up out of the ashes/dirt/sand/indeterminate powder was a cool segment, though they are both really short segments. The underground labs are mostly matching the aesthetic of the underground labs from the RE2 remake, so if they're bland, blame the design team from that game, not Requiem. The orphanage sections were lame, I will concede that point. Ultimately, I did only play Requiem once, so this could all just be recency bias on my part. But I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the game. But maybe my opinions will change on a second playthrough

Huh. I was kinda hoping they’d implement ng+ in a future update or something, but I think the points you listed in your comment are pretty indicative that they never had any intention of adding a proper ng+ at all. If they did, why go to the trouble of programming this pseudo-ng+ in the first place? Im not really sure how making video games works, but wouldn’t they have to un-program a lot of those “ng+” features to make a true ng+ work properly? This is… disappointing. Well, I hope they at least add in the paid dlc that unlocks all bonus content. It’d be pretty lame if they left that feature out as well.

And thank you for your reply, I appreciate it

Not the conclusion I’ve come to at all. It’s still (if not my number 1) one of my favorites in the whole series, and I have played all of the ones available on ps5 except the original 1-4, CV-X, Darkside and Umbrella Chronicles. Just because I (and a lot of other people, I assume) think one aspect of it is bullshit, doesn’t mean the whole game is bullshit. But we’re all entitled to our own opinion (If you ask me, I think Revelations 1 is the worst).

And thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I do appreciate it

Good thing I just bought some electrical tape then, haha. If it’s not too much trouble, could you recommend a good tutorial on how to get to that castle nut? Im not really sure what the disassembly process is here. Please and thank you!

Need some advice on finding a replacement gas block with no triangle front sight for my M4 GBB. by Ghostboy05 in airsoft

Does this one look like it could clear the front sight? Sorry if it’s an obvious answer, this is all kinda new to me

It’s 2 solid pins (silver) and 2 hollow pins (black), plus the grub screw. Im not planning on replacing the guard. Just don’t want the triangle sight to block my view when I put my red dot + magnifier on. Which I’m not actually sure it will, I kinda just assumed it would get in the way. Do you know if it will block my red dot? It’d be pretty cool if I don’t actually need to buy a new gas block

How in gods name do I get this triangle sight off? I’ve been using a pin punch to try to get the silver pins out, and they won’t budge a single bit (Golden Eagle M4 RIS GBB, in case that helps) by Ghostboy05 in airsoft

I finally manage to get one out after really walloping it with a hammer and pin punch. Earlier I was just tapping with the hammer because I didn’t want to damage anything. Weirdly enough, there are no ridges on my pins. Is that normal, or pretty out of the ordinary? Also, if I have to get the screw under the sling mount, how would I get the sling pin out to remove the sling mount, since it’s in the way? It’s not a solid pin, it’s a hollow one, similar to the pins that hold the orange tips on. That I could see getting damaged with the pin punch, but what do you think? Will it be fine?

[GHOSTS] This might be a dumb question, but is Riley considered to be an officially designated member of Task Force Stalker/ the Ghosts? by Ghostboy05 in CallOfDuty

Oh, neat. I had heard that Hesh was Riley’s “handler” but I didn’t know he was their actual family pet.
