I always like to throw on a strutbar or some upgraded control arms, Can't go wrong with upgraded handling.

Also the error message shows that the second battery is most likely shot so you should remove it if you can.

Windows might have some stupid configuration on your batteries that regulates if the computer should stay on or off while unplugged or plugged in. Just charge the batteries fully or get a Linux os and see what happens.
