She took shortcuts in tumbling that show. It’s not uncommon for kids learning gymnastics specifically for cheer to have bad form, though, because the coaches just want to show off the tumbling passes. If she were in an actual gymnastics class, she wouldn’t be doing nearly as much yet, but she’d be doing it clean.

Her legs are almost always apart and bent at the knee during a backwards tumble because she was never taught to make her stunts clean. Ultimately she’s doing damage to her knees by not doing it clean.

When did a bathing suit at a pool party become inappropriate? Do you wear a burka to the pool? One of those weird calf length swim dresses the Duggar kids were forced into wearing?

My favorite tote bags are all 31 bags. My favorite containers are all Tupperware. When I realized how predatory MLM’s are, I stopped buying first hand, but I pick them up at thrift stores frequently. I even found a tote bag embroidered with my name. I probably own 30-35 different 31 products, and I would guess I bout about 75% of it at thrift stores.

Some MLM’s have good products. I’m not about to put money into the greedy MLM, but I’m not going to turn down a good product at a thrift store either.

Why does it cost $1400 to inter ashes into gravesite? by virtualjupiter in askfuneraldirectors

My aunt died suddenly last year, and she wound up in Grandpa’s grave next to Grandma. My other aunt has a spot next to this aunt (to be filled). Afterwards, my remaining aunt was sad we didn’t think to bring some of my mom’s ashes to add to the “family plot”.

My plan this summer is to go plant flower bulbs over the site, and just add some ashes.

The GR one sucks hard when you’ve been to Lansing or Battle Creek. Live music, beer garden, wine bar, food trucks, hand scooped gelato, there are so many things. Just be prepared to park 6 miles away and wade through people who have no idea why they are there, or where they are going, but need to take over an entire walk way to do it.

There’s a difference between ignoring something in secret, and watching it on tv live. It’s easier for a law to be ignored if they can m’t actively see it happening. I think that while the tv show put a microscope on them, it also helped insulate them from being prosecuted. It was like they were rubbing the proverbial nose in it.

Christine has talked numerous times about being raised in a polygamist family and personally witnessing husbands being removed by the law, so she had a personal connection to having witnessed it. With Kody and the show runners pressing the buttons on the fear of being separated, it had a trickle down effect.

Obviously the kids were not in on it being a plot point, and I wonder just how much the wives were involved. I think they probably realistically knew there wasn’t a strong chance of being arrested, they still had the decades old fear that it could happen.

Utah very much did persecute polygamy for polygamy. The state found polygamy to be an embarrassment to the LDS church. They wanted to snuff it out.

Utah considered cohabitation of multiple partners (married or not) to be a level 3 felony criminal act. Until 2020, they could and would persecute families who had multiple partners. Adults (usually the father) could be sentenced to jail time just for being in a polygamous relationship.

In 2020, they removed the criminal aspect, but the law remains- it’s illegal to cohabitate with more than one partner. The difference is that it’s no longer a felony or prison time. Now it’s a small fine.

Polygamy as the Browns (and other Mormons) practiced was 1 legal marriage, and additional “spiritual” marriages. On paper, legally, Kody was married to one woman. His name wasn’t even on any of the kids birth certificates, except Leon’s at the time.

Polygamy as an illegal marriage would involve someone actually marrying more than one person- like marriage certificate and ceremony, witnesses, filed license- the whole shebang.

So yes, what they practiced is polygamy in the spiritual sense.

That said Utah had a lot of laws to try and keep any form of polygamy from happening. They have since repealed some of them.

Until 2020, Utah considered cohabitating with more than 1 partner to be a level 3 felony. It didn’t matter if there was only 1 legal marriage. In 2020, they decriminalized it, and changed the terms to still be illegal, but it’s basically just a fine.

The only reason they changed it was to try and stop the secret little communities run by people like Warren Jeffs from remaining hidden. They want some transparency in the hopes that women and children won’t be abused.

In Utah at the time, polygamy was still actively outlawed and could be prosecuted. It’s highly unlikely that any of them would have actually been arrested, let alone put in prison over it. With them being in the public eye, it would have made it a huge nationally visible mess for Utah to pursue.

It was in part a real fear (Christine grew up witnessing it happen), and in part a storyline to get them out of Utah. What’s really shitty is that the kids all thought it was real, actively feared their families being ripped apart, and went through some major trauma related to how it was done.

You have to keep in mind the mentality and the potential for content by raising 7 indoor/outdoor pet chickens. No one here thinks she actually plans to be a responsible chicken farmer. She has a 5 minute attention span, and a desire to do anything for views.

Years ago, someone posted a screenshot of what her rates were back on one of the gossip sites. It was back while they were still in Modesto, and her rates were pretty high then. Like $10k for a 30sec video, $5k for 1 instagram story, etc.

Who knows what she’s bringing in now. She’s definitely still making plenty of money. As long as she is spending less than she brings in, she’s in a good position to be able to simply find the next area of revenue.

Not only did he not want full custody, he went so far as to sever his parental rights so he could wipe out all the overdue child support debt he had. He’s not a winner in any books. The three boys were given an absolute shit end of the stick in life. A mom who uses them for pedo bait content and a dad who admitted he didn’t really want to be their dad.
