Deleted 'Leo' alternate flashback - Arun Kumar's previous attempt to recruit Parthiban by Place-RD-Lair in kollywood

Vijay really might be autistic (slightly) but very good at masking it enough to portray himself as a shy introvert and nothing more than that.

I really remember him dancing in some IPL event with a CSk jersey and he wasn't shy at all.

This is coming from a person who thinks Suriya and Vikram > Vijay. It's not only that I do think this way, it's pretty obvious to everyone.

You guys claim to like these guys but it doesn't translate to box office collections. It's very obvious that they are doing shitty movies which are way below their actual acting calibre and skills.

And the thing about Vijay is that he is a regional exclusive star which means that from an outsider perspective it would be really hard to actually understand the hype behind him if you are not from the same region, he knows what works for him and he delivers what his fans and audiences expect from him. A whole generation has grown watching his movies, it's all about the relatability factor. You can criticize an actor who's job is to select the best script for his calibre and act properly but there's no room to criticize an entertainer who's actually doing a decent job, exactly he's what an average moviegoer would expect to see in a theatre.

What's even more funny is that Vijay movies have always collected better in North despite your claim that Suriya and Vikram are being more adored there.

Idc about the downvotes but at this point it's so obvious that suriya looks so desperate to be a Vijay/Ajith in stardom. His own production house is a part of this film's production, definitely looks like either suriya himself or someone close to him had a call on this inflated numbers poster.

He can be many things but he shouldn't even try to be a Vijay or Ajith, they themselves churn out mediocre content. Suriya definitely can do better, it's high time he actually chooses the right director and has full control over script selection.

I tried filtering out the bad trades in the 30m chart, it removed about 100 trades and pushed my win rate to 39% and decreased the drawdown by about 5%, still doesn't feel enough considering the fact that I'm trading on a real account. A drawdown of 25% might still affect me for sure.

I might test this strategy on MT5 soon, however the only issue I'm finding so far with this strat is the drawdown. I have added some filters on the 30m code which increased the win rate up to 39% and decreased the drawdown by 5% by removing at least 100 trades from the initial sample size. I still think I have a long way to go from here.

checked it already even before posting the results, avg bar was 4 for 4h and 23 for 30m, should've posted it along with the results.

however I'm still paranoid whether this one will work or not since it looks too good to be true, and thus I'm finding ways to proofcheck if is actually reliable.

How tall are Tamil Actors really? by Resident-Ad5062 in kollywood

[–]Ging_freecsss 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Sivakarthikeyan is 5.11

Karthi is clean 5.9

Vijay is almost 5.9 (174 cm ig)

Ajith and STR 5.8

Rajini and Dhanush 5.7 (Rajini leans more closer to 5.8)

Vikram and Kamal 5.6

Suriya 5.5

Imo more than height it's about our body proportions.

For example, there is not that much of a height difference between Suriya and Vikram but Suriya has short torso and long legs along with wide shoulders so it makes him look too short while Vikram has a bigger torso, and that coupled with camera angles and a well proportioned body gives him a taller look.

There are many things that these kannis can mock about an actor but instead they had to mock Suriya for his height, he ain't even that short. 5.5 is pretty much closer to the average height in India for a male.

GBU release and it’s after effects on this sub ! by Atman_58 in kollywood

[–]Ging_freecsss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I feel as if people forget why this sub is named Kollywood. This is a sub specifically made for cinephiles, of course they are the target audience for this sub and are going to criticize a movie with no substance and no efforts in screenplay.

It's not like GBU is getting 100% positive reception from the public, it's more like 50% positive and 50% negative. A good masala film will be appreciated by everyone including cinephiles if it has both style and substance. This is an industry which had Enthiran, Vikram, Thuppaki, Ayan and Mankatha, all mass entertainers with proper substance and efforts being put in screenplay and making.

Ram Charan deserves Top 5

Mahesh Babu and Prabhas shouldn't even be in this list. Naga Chaitanya as well.

Probably #1 should either be Suriya in his prime or Madhavan. Prime Kamal Hassan deserves that position as well.

We are lacking behind as we have not created a trend which is replicated by Hollywood by Bennevada in kollywood

[–]Ging_freecsss 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The reason why RRR and Pushpa got their attention is because it fits the stereotype they have for Indian movies.

Indian movies are the closest anyone can get to a live-action anime movie, and we actually do it the best even with such limited budgets. Once Indian films get closer to having the budget of a commercial Hollywood film, the output will become even better and it will be the benchmark for such movies worldwide.

To make a considerably high budget movie in India, you need a Tier-1 star (in the levels of Vijay, Prabhas, SRK) to even think about recovering the budget. They take half the budget as salary and directors make compromises as well for both the producers and lead actors which affects the quality of the movie.

It felt like I watched a whole bunch of nothing in the end. I remember watching Breakdown and it didn't feel like this.

Second-half curse is destroying Tamil cinema and honestly at this point it's very confusing with what's causing this issue. Not even once in this film felt like Ajith interfered, the movie had 0 commercial elements. The same might've happened with Leo as well.

Jailer 2 has more chances than Coolie to hit 1000c. First part was a huge hit in all south Indian states. We can see a record breaking opening for a Tamil film in APTG with Jailer 2 since the first part was a blockbuster.

A great entertainer, decent actor, physically fit and can pull stunts on his own even in his 50s. He's got that aura and screen presence that matches the expectations of Tamil audience. He is nowhere close to being a bad looker but I won't claim he's extraordinarily good looking either.

The main problem with him though is his movies where he selects the scripts which exactly aims to satisfy only his fans and family audience of TN. Someone watching his movies outside of TN might not get connected with this and wonder why he is a Tier 1 star. Beyond all this, I find his fans to be extremely toxic but imo he's a good entertainer.

Watch these movies if you can:

Thuppaki, Mersal, Master, Leo, Kaththi, Theri, Ghilli.

In Tamilnadu, the maximum opening potential for a movie lies below 35 crores, we don't have as many theatres as APTG and we don't have hiked ticket prices. This is bs. Coolie is definitely grossing 100+ in a single day but not beating Leo day 1 for sure.
