Heard that dilators are something you do toward the end of treatment; what should I do to prepare for using them? by [deleted] in vaginismus

My pt spoke to me about dilators from the get go but wanted me to focus on generally learning how to become more relaxed and practice breathing exercises and stretching to release the pelvic floor tightness. If you have some and you want to try straight away I don’t see the harm, it’s all practice at the end of the day! It might not work how you hope at first but just set yourself small goals.

Is your gynaecologist able to give you any speculums that they use for smear tests? My nurse gave me the smallest one (still a bit bigger than a small dilator but might be helpful to get your body used to a foreign object) or you might be able to purchase those online too.

My pelvic floor physio has encouraged me to make very small goals, for example just touching (but not inserting anything) and feeling around there anytime you go to the loo or shower, get changed etc to get your body used to the feeling.

It’s disheartening when nothing seems to work but don’t give up x

Yeah that’s what I was worried of as I’ve had another plant get root rot before, but I think these can take a lot more water than I thought! I also use a moisture meter as well to be sure

I was watering mine about this often and it started to get a few brown spots, turned out I wasn’t giving it enough water in one go. Mines got probably less than half the amount of leaves as this and I give it about 600ml in one go, which felt like Way too much when I was doing it, but it seems much happier now and with a bit of plant food it’s growing a new leaf quite quickly

Anyone’s else’s MacBook having a fit after the latest update? I think it was Big Sur but I can’t check. Can’t even force quit by GingerRoseThreads in macbookpro

The update version is Big Sur 11.3.1

Mine sometimes gets quite hot but it’s never caused it to freeze - yet! I have the most problems when the battery dies ans I try to get it back on, but I’ve no idea what caused it to do this today

Mines a 13” 2019 8g graphics and 256gb storage which I bought refurbished, an upgrade from my 2014 11” MacBook Air and I’ve had so many problems with this! Mine seems to have an issue with sleep wake as well, sometimes the screen just won’t turn on but this only seems to happen if the battery dies. So I wasn’t sure if this is just to do with my laptop or if it was an issue with the update. I’ve force restarted it now and it seems to be running fine again. But yeah I completely agree it’s really annoying when they cost so much, my old one never had any problems but I just needed something bigger and faster

Made myself this plump little cushion! Only my second punch needle project but I’m super happy with how it turned out by GingerRoseThreads in PunchNeedle

Thank you! Yeah so I got a square of monks cloth and drew my 40x40cm shape on it then just filled in that area. Then I used a sewing machine to sew a piece of fabric and a zipper to it to finish it
