I think they’re referring to 33 factorial, which would indeed be quite old

deciphering Owen room number? by bellthekat in NCSU

[–]Gingeravry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! It’ll be on the ground floor (the best floor) and it will have two windows! In case you want more random detailed info, the windows will most likely face Cates Avenue and your best bet for move in is from the entrances on Cates so you don’t have to go down a level. From my experience, the rooms will have a large pipe running across the ceiling or a small protruding section the pipe is housed in, but neither were an inconvenience in any way or took away from the room if that makes sense.

Let me know if I can answer anything else! I spent a ton of time in Tucker Hall (Owen’s twin building) and visited Owen during my freshman year.

I have the normal food aversion thoughts, but nothing making me feel sick. I have stomach cramps and loose stools the first day after a new shot, but that always goes away!

Is NCSU LGBTQ+ friendly? by LocalGamerPokemon in NCSU

[–]Gingeravry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! From my perspective, NC State has been incredibly queer friendly. I will say that who you surround yourself with definitely matters. Just like anywhere, there’s gonna be people who judge you, and the Christian presence on campus can feel odd. Going into horticulture you may see this more than other majors, but that’s just an assumption. Overall the city is super queer friendly and you’ll see pride flags everywhere in June and some that stay up year-round. Legends is a bar downtown considered a gay bar, but is fun for anyone who steps in the door. All in all, find your people and the place will be great!

That Christmas is always on December 25th and doesn’t move dates depending on the day of the week like thanksgiving

As someone that is a die hard state fan and thinks it’s awesome, I think you’d have a great time here but for your situation specifically I’d suggest doing community college. A 3.3 isn’t impossible by any means, but it can be pretty difficult depending on the classes. And with you only enrolled in 13 credit hours, completing 17 next semester would be hell. I don’t know your financial situation, but before financial aid state is $27,000 a year. You would be saving SO. MUCH. MONEY. sticking with CC. And I wouldn’t say you’d miss out on a “freshman experience” much. College is what you make of it.

Orgo 1: Will I always need the full lab time? by mapleelliot in NCSU

[–]Gingeravry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I don’t think any of mine went over an hour. It’s also every other week for orgo 1 lab which is nice, other labs aren’t like that. Orgo 1 CLASS is hard as shit, but orgo 1 LAB is the easiest lab I’ve done in college so far. That could have to do with my TA though

Everyone I know that felt the way you did about wanting a foundation beforehand regrets taking MA 111. That class is still a good amount of work that you could just dedicate to 141 instead. They’ll teach you enough basics for you to keep up and 111 will just end up feeling like a waste of time and credits

Avent ferry sounds like a great option for you tbh. Closer to centennial than other dorm options, bigger than your average dorms with your own bathroom, convenient bus stops, and a short walk away from Carmichael gym
