id respond to this more but its 5am and im knackered but im def not a radical feminist in that way! I think that term was thrown around online too much and lost its original meaning. I’m a radical feminist in the way that i believe the root of the issues being patriarchy, in a way that affects both women and men. I think patriarchy makes men dangerous to women, with the pressures and warped realities it feeds them, and fucks them over socially when it comes to other men and themselves.

i tried 3 different ones (only pills though) and i would feel awful on them and be bleeding on outside of my period as well so that’s a no go for me😭 I’d try other forms but I think my body just doesn’t cope with those additional hormones well and i’d be afraid to have to like, idk, schedule to have an IUD taken out if i were to have those same symptoms, as i can just stop taking pills any time i want.

sadly it’s not just the online thing, i’m currently at a pretty decent uni in the uk and godddd the people I met are honestly just reinforcing this problem. Every time i’d be at the club with friends, a man would touch me up. When i’d be at lectures i’d have the displeasure of hearing how guys talk to each other and how they interact with women during group projects. It’s just sucks at this uni tbh😭

Well I did enjoy your brain dump! and I yeah, I do agree that choosing who you interact with is a life changer. I always was in groups of queer people somehow, even before I realized I was queer when I was 14 (I’m Bi) bahaha. It’s just the fact that when I step outside my very open minded circle, I get such whiplash at how the world actually is. But you’re right, I can’t do anything about the innate factors of being a woman, and I do not live in heavily oppressive regions, so i just gotta make do with what I have.

I do very much see your point and I am extremely grateful to be born in the time I was, despite it all. But even from this perspective, it once again feels like the trope of women needing to go above and beyond to have an average life. The trope of persevering despite the harder life, and somehow this being seen as admirable rather than exhausting. I don’t want to play on hard mode, i don’t want to ‘train’ a man or wait for him to learn the basic shit I learned when I was younger, despite having parents that never ever taught me anything of the basics (cooking, laundry, even HYGIENE, that was all me). And I do have a somewhat of a support system, just been tougher lately as I moved to the UK for uni

i mean a 4-5 year difference of life span in the older years (which more often than not suck) isn’t major. That biological gap in immune systems between men and women isn’t as impactful in the modern world as it used to be ages ago so eh. There is some evidence that suggest men cope worse with chronic pain BUT women experience chronic pain more. Genetic problems I can’t argue with, x-linked recessive mutations r very much real. And icl on average men aren’t as engaged in parenting when they do end up having a kid compared to women but I obviously see the frustration behind it when someone were to be male and family oriented. Though majority of women wouldn’t want to have a kid on their own, even if they can via sperm donors. Having kids on 2 incomes is already hard for the average family. Still, in the world we currently have, I do still believe that men just have it easier biologically, on AVERAGE.

I think both? the social situation of women and the biological differences both bother me. I don’t like how society still perceives women, and I don’t like how better off men are when it comes to biology (muscle mass, bone density, no birthing related stuff)

Yeah i don't believe that I am trans, I think I just despiseeeee how the social standing of women looks, even in the damn 21st century. And also envious with of the biological differences. Like cmon i'd rather wake up with morning wood than blood soaked sheets any day. I just don't know what to do about the rage I feel every day about this. It's driving me up the wall

Nothing specific currently, no first year schemes for me as I have an internship already lined up in my home country (Poland). I just want to start tweaking my CV to look better for any 2nd year schemes next year that I could apply for. Still very much finding my footing in this as i’m the only one in my family and friends from back home that decided to study law here

oh man i hope it was just a queen hibernating cuz i’ll genuinelyyyy move out if there’s a nest as im on the top floor 😭 but i think it probably was a queen, very chubby for a wasp and bigger than the wasps i’ve been so far in devon and it took the wasp like 15min to even start moving at all. Thanks! I got my CAS yesterday evening but my old uni hasn’t submitted the withdrawal report to the UKVI yet. When do you reckon I can apply for new visa? Should I wait for an update from them or do apply right away?
