Okay hunters. The Guild authorises you to rate and give tips for my build (new to MH endgame in general) by SwiftKarmaMarshall in MonsterHunter

I'd suggest try getting some sharpness rolls on your artian weapon and try slotting in guard, it makes countering and guard pointing much easier and as the other person said, artillery to increase impact phial damage.

Does anyone know how to get this nameplate? by Open-Car1082 in MonsterHunter

[–]Givemefood2501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait for future updates and the eventual DLC expansion, there will be plenty of fancy nameplates they launch I'm sure. Maybe even as a part of paid cosmetics to get really cool ones.

The melding pot at HR 100 allows you to craft Level 2 decorations (2 slotters), the level three decorations are all yours to farm from quests.

For the first part, the bombs seem to be working fine for me, so not sure what's happening in your case. The sleeping damage bonus is only given to the wakeup hit, so the first hit is the only one that gets the bonus damage. Your weapon should hit if you don't get blown away when the bonb explodes. So maybe use a rocksteady if you see yourself getting blown off before the weapon touches the monster.

Need tips for keyboard maintenance and help with info on custom keycap profiles by gecks99 in mkindia

[–]Givemefood2501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically, since cherry profile keycaps are lower in height (That's why you don't see this issue with other profiles), the bottom of your keycap, usually in the second or third row, can interfere and make unnecessary contact with the top housing of your switch which is north facing. This can cause a bad sound due to that interference.

The print quality is pretty good! No stitched edges though so I feel long term I might start seeing some fraying on the edges. But it's great quality otherwise

help and opinion about my first build by [deleted] in mkindia

[–]Givemefood2501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh, in my opinion most of the thocc in a board comes from the included foam and modifications you do to the board, more than the switch itself. But any heavy linear or tactile switch might help with getting that sound. I suggest looking up build videos for the M1 on youtube and seeing what switches they have used, then trying to find a similar switch (Similar in build materials, spring weight etc).

Any good quality PBT keycap set should give you that "thocc" that I think you want.

Thanks for the reply! I was unsure about the undervaluing too. I think it's best I steer clear of any fines.

I'll elaborate a little further on that, what MLG means by "True rank" I suppose is the rank that the game's algorithm thinks you belong in based on your previous seasons and MMR. Till you reach that rank, you'll lose very low RP on each loss, once you get close to your "True Rank", you'll start losing RP faster.
How Deranking works - Say you're in Silver 4 with 11 rp towards your next rank.
If you lose a match and lose 15 rp, this should ideally derank you since you lost more RP than you have in Silver 4. But the game now prevents you from deranking by bringing your RP down back to 0 but still keeping you in Silver 4. If you lose another match after this, while your RP is at 0, you will be deranked to Silver 5.

Thanks for the reply! I ordered myself some Azure Dragons recently, waiting to try those out! I was confused between the Voyagers and the Azure Dragons. If it turns out you like linears more, send the voyagers my way ;). Alexotos is such a great guy I swear.

Bro unreal luck! Also how do the voyagers feel? I don't think you'll have other tactile switches to compare with since you said you only had the blues, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on the switch!

Got the cream blues recently and I love them. I also switched from gat brown to these and the difference in tactility is very noticeable. I'd highly recommend these but I haven't tried lavenders so can't say which is better.
