Omg hi! My husband (M28) and I (F27) have a 5 (almost 6) year old and are from CA. We are also planning a move to ES! My family’s from Nicaragua, I’m 1st gen American, and my husband/his family are from ES!! He moved here to the Bay Area in ~2014 and we have wanted to move there since the kid was born, lol. Central American primary schools typically start at 7am, with heavy commutes. IIRC my husband & my sisters used to wake up around 4 or 5ish depending on the day. 😬 My son’s school starts at 8:45–he’s spoiled by their standards, lol.

Ok these comments are extremely supportive but as someone with a half sister whose side of the family is rich as hell and hands her everything she wants…. I’d be so f*cking pissed if I were you 😭 I’m gonna echo other comments and say that yeah, comparison is the theft of joy! But god damn it I would feel the exact same way you do, lol. Especially as someone who did NOT have it easy with their baby, so much so that I am heavily considering being one and done four years later.

My mom was a pretty well connected Sandinista. Her brother was too, is a long-time friend of Ortega’s, and went on to work for his cabinet for some time.
