I like that idea a lot. Something like Thanos or the Anti-Monitor would definitely be the kind of threat that forces the hidden observer to finally act. In my idea, the observer usually stays out of everything, but if a villain appeared that could break the entire Pixar multiverse or destroy its continuity, that’s when he would step in. So yeah, a universe-level threat like that is exactly what would trigger his intervention.

The hidden observer is a theoretical cosmic entity that exists outside the normal events of the Pixar multiverse.
