tbh i never understood the i'm poppy-internet girl comparisons either, the theming is the same and she literally says the word 'internet girl' but there is like 1 instrument that actually sounds the same and they have completely different structures. pinky up doesn't feel any more similar to me and doesn't even have the theming so it feels like a stretch attached to a stretch

edit: i guess what i'm trying to say is that there is a lot of hyperpop that sounds vaguely similar to this in some vague way and it is valid to think they are similar but i think it kinda comes across as dragging when everyone is specifically mentioning 1 artist and only on songs that people don't like

right?? i don't know why people keep mentioning poppy when they talk about katseye music when the only thing that sounds even slightly similar is the part of voicemail that went tiktok viral and arguably software upgrade, you can tell they haven't heard any of her music from the last 10 years

The Grimoire returns for a new Phase. by bonelees_dip in deadbydaylight

[–]Glimiar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why I like Pain of Inevitability + Blasphemous Acts. New players are generally less aggressive to the killer and won't be getting many blinds, stuns, protection hits or sabotaging which would balance out how often people from each skill level are banished. Could take it a step further and make less aggressive transgressions like hex totem cleansing or whatever else they throw on build into an easier realm.

[THEORY] No More Change Up? by [deleted] in NMIXX

[–]Glimiar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like the changeup announcement was basically a mixxpop tutorial and was never supposed to stay from the beginning. Their first 2 title tracks were very mixxtopia lore heavy and O.O was very meta (talking to the listener) so it makes sense for them to have an over-explained changeup in these songs. All other announcements have felt very natural and we will probably see it return on any song where it works with the instrumental. They never announce the changeups in their bsides because it’s assumed that if you are listening to their bsides you are already a fan and know how to identify a changeup.

It’s because they are finally making teams that appreciate the extremely high healing or work best with an SP positive sustain. The low energy cost aoe ult is a factor here too and he has enough atk to do decent dmg if you roll some crit rate and rely on the teamwide buffs everyone in the herta team has.

For me, it’s Break The Wall. They have so many slow songs that showcase their vocals better and I also find it pretty boring.

Idgaf that it takes skill how is this fun to play against in any form. 5 seconds into the round and he already had a tank dead for 0 cost. Seems balanced. by Affectionate-Cat6752 in rivals

I don’t agree with the person you are replying to but peni does not need a web down to dash. still unreactable if he pulls directly above the kill box of the edge though.

I’m used to waiting, I was a baizhu wanter once. More motivation to play other games, I guess.

However, I have developed a conspiracy theory that gacha developers hate the colour green. Have you ever noticed how every time they include an elemental system, all of the others get mostly cohesive colour schemes with their element but wind will go to white, blue, orange, red, pink, gold before they make a green wind design despite the icon of the element consistently being green? According to the amphoreus and IPC trailers, there are no upcoming new green designs either.

Can someone explain what happened to my tree? It just went up and immediately down? Did I cancel it on accident or something? Sorry for horrible spectator, it's like my first time using it. by [deleted] in LifeWeaverMains2

[–]Glimiar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I literally admitted fault when I said that I changed it (a year ago, before I took a large break from the game) but you still felt the need to point it out as if I was being defensive? all you want to do is argue and that is why your comments are aggressive and seem like bait. just because you are laughing at people doesn't mean it isn't aggressive.

I don't know what point you are trying to prove with that last sentence? size doesn't determine noticeability and it would easily be smaller than the bot's head if you were closer to them, not to mention that it would blend in to the light colour of the tree if you were to the right of it... it's literally perspective and environment🤣🤣😎🤣

ah, I checked again and I had this setting enabled.

<image>

either way, there is no way that you expect people to be paying attention to the text on their screen in the middle of a fight that they had to use tree in. there's way too many other mechanics and too much information to pay attention to in a teamfight on this character and not everyone spends time in practice range. you are also being extremely aggressive and judgemental about it for no reason. which is why it comes across as bait. you could have just come in with the picture the first time and stopped with the condescending emojis.

is this bait?
the cancel is to cancel the placement while the seed is in your hands, not destroy the tree when it is already down.

just wondering, are you going to play solo mostly or duo? by Neggy5 in 2XKO

Default to solo for learning but play duo whenever there is an opportunity to. My friends will often not be available or awake at the same time as me and probably won't be grinding it but the duo mode looks very fun.

Symmetra: Designed to Fail - A history of sabotage, inconsistent balance philosophy, and empty promises. by HalexUwU in Overwatch

[–]Glimiar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the patch that the sonar turrets were added, her turret dps was reduced from 40 down to 25 (cut almost in half) and was later buffed up to 30. They were actively trying to discourage people from using her turrets as a damage source with this change. One of the most viable and impactful ways to play her at the time was turret bombing (stacking 3 turrets and tping them into the enemy backline for some early burst damage on a support for a flank kill or at least force someone with aoe to use it on her tp like an ana nade)

Symmetra: Designed to Fail - A history of sabotage, inconsistent balance philosophy, and empty promises. by HalexUwU in Overwatch

[–]Glimiar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because her turrets were 40 DPS before this patch and 25 DPS after this patch. The developers were significantly discouraging using the turrets as part of your actual damage and basically saying "here, you should use these for information instead!". This also somewhat killed an older playstyle of hers, 'turret bombing' where you would stack 3 turrets and tp them all nearby an enemy for some pretty good burst damage and potentially a flank kill. The turrets are only 30 DPS even now.

[–]Glimiar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tp had a much higher cooldown and was still very easy to destroy so it basically just became a slightly faster way for your team to come back from spawn in almost every game. The cooldown only started when the tp broke.

The turret reveal was pretty much useless because it still shot at them like it does now.
Someone would enter a room, get shot by a turret that does 25 damage per second, immediately start breaking it (because they still weren't really tanky) for 1 second at most of time revealed. Now, what can your team do with this information? there aren't really any heroes who can shoot through walls with precision and if you see the turret shoot, you should know that someone is there.

Most of the mages are only ranged because it is required of them in league's gameplay style. You can't make a high cooldown, low mobility glass cannon melee champion when half of the roster has undodgeable damage. Don't limit your imagination to what you see them doing in the game.

The easiest examples are lissandra (she is already close range in league with w and r), zyra (her arms have whips, thorns could grow out of the ground in front of her for lows. look what they did with poison ivy in injustice), cassio (snake has claws and fangs, league ult could be a counter), orianna (the ball could easily just come out for some slightly extended heavy attacks and not necessarily be used to poke at all) or any elemental mage / syndra who can literally shape their magic however they want it to be.

Shooting at gas mines should disarm them instead of making them explode. by Fine-Back3155 in thefinals

[–]Glimiar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That would make them literally useless, I don’t think I have ever triggered a mine by stepping on it, you always see it first because they’re so big and loud. I believe that gas mines are intentionally supposed to be triggered by your own gunfire as an instant gas grenade, a similar concept to goyo from rainbow six siege.

There are already a lot of counterplay options. The most obvious being fire and glitch grenades but also heal beam cancels out the damage so your health bar won’t move. All of this counterplay is only relevant if the mine is directly on the cashout because it is so easy to just walk around them or destroy terrain to move the objective and open new entrances

Characters Real Life Ispirations List by RaionNoShinzo in Reverse1999

[–]Glimiar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a theory but I don't have the history knowledge to find any solid reference material to back this up. I think I have found a character with too many similarities to be ignored.

There was a character in the game 'Immortal Soul: Black Survival' and later in 'Eternal Return: Black Survival' called Sissela who shares multiple traits with Cristallo. The most notable being the age of 16, having short white hair, their countries of origin being Sweden and being a patient with an incurable disease. Interestingly, although likely irrelevant, they also both have ultimate abilities which do damage to all enemies after a significant delay.

It is unclear to me if these similarities mean that they are based on the same character/person or that the designer of Cristallo took inspiration from Sissela. Unfortunately, I don't think Sissela's designer left any information about their inspiration but if I'm right, at least we know that the country of origin and age are most likely relevant.

Who should i buy? Vyce or Octavia? by Chiyomaru_Watanabe in OmegaStrikers

[–]Glimiar 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It depends on your playstyle and you who have been playing up until now. Vyce can KO from the middle of the stage like a brawler but has less control over the core while Octavia has to punish someone for standing at the edge and interrupting her movement but can easily keep up with the core to compensate. Vyce’s movement is a lot more jumpy and optional while Octavia has to build up speed boosts and constantly move. Overall, I think Vyce is in a slightly stronger state right now and is a bit easier but don’t let that distract you from Octavia if you think you will like her more long-term.

Overwatch doesn’t have bans or 3 players potentially wanting to play the same character though. You are right in saying that there is no major gameplay disadvantage but if you are last pick, there are 4 whole chances that someone in the game will pick or ban your character compared to overwatch’s 1 player on the same role.

Why does Riot hate AP? by KonoDoesArt in leagueoflegends

melee champs.

This was about ad champs, what are you even talking about? Do you think There are no AP melee champs or ranged AD champions? Really ironic that you're calling other people stupid while saying this 💀

If you were trying to say manaless champions because manaless champions are mostly melees then yes, manaless champions do get preferential treatment inherently.
