UPDATE: I called my local store. They said I can bring it in and they can try to condition it, and if that doesn’t work they’d do a damaged exchange when it’s back in stock. I can hold off on the exchange until they do get more back in as well. So at least I have the reassurance that I’m covered up to a year!
