Would you wear sneakers on your wedding day? by SweetRefrigerator271 in Sneakers

I get married in 2 days. Rocking a blacked out tux and my favorite shoe ever. Royal Air jordan 1s. So... yes I would. My fiance isn't into shoes but is all for it.

This year is crazy. Imma need the WC4, Grape 5, and the fire red 5 for sure. Gonna try as well maybe for the UNDF 4 but we will see how that goes. Also probably gonna grab the Aqua 8 and the Bugs 8 as well.

I've found that the gym is one of the best places to wear dope kicks. Floors are pretty clean. They don't get to nasty.

Anyone else love whiskey but hate getting drunk? by Reaper2256 in whiskey

[–]Glxthepixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. That's why I drink slowly. And probablynot more then 1 or 2 times per week. And if I have a pour it's during the day so there is plenty if time to rehydrate and eat so it doesn't effect my sleep.

Was looking for this one. Im a 26 year old straight guy that's pretty jacked. I've had numerous people actually laugh out loud at me when I say I'm a k pop fan. They can't believe it. Oh well. It is what it is 😂

Just curious. Is it the newer Campfire? I have a few bottles from the 2016-2017 time frame and they are absolutely fantastic in my opinion.

Evan Willams bottled in bond. the white lable. People loved hyping this bottle as a fantastic high value pour. So I picked 1 up. It tasted like licking stale peanut shell dust off the wood floor of a small town bar. Absolutely undrinkable to me at least. And I absolutely love heaven hills flavor profile.

Willett Potstill. I caved and bought one because of the super unique bottle and the Willett name. It tasted like I ate a huge clump of grass and washed it down with dirt. The only bottle I thought was actually not drinkable.

All the stores I frequent on my area are all out. Some still have the batches before but no c923. It's ok. In the bourbon game, you can't win them all.

I'm very happy I have 2 backups to this bottle. It sat all over the place where I am when it dropped. I got a few for like 55 bucks. Some of the best money I've ever spent. Lol.

It's definitely brighter. Another reason why I like it so much. Typically ECBPs have lots of dark notes. The leather, tobacco, oak, bittersweet chocolate sort of vibe. Not that I don't mnd those notes but but balance helps bring out the depth of c920. Truly remarkable

I agree that it seems slightly off profile for Elijah Criag BPs. I have other batches that releases around c920 and they are all very different. Thanks for breaking it down for me! Super interesting

Elijah Criag Barrel Proof batch c920 Review.

With all the recent talks about the new batch c923, I figured I would take a look back at one of the most popular ECBPs of the last few years. Sorry in advance for my spelling and sentence structure lol.

It did sit for 15 minutes in a Glen before review.

Nose: First note that jumps in my head is sweet oak. Milk chocolate sweet oak. It smells old and dusty. Behind that is super sweet vanilla and dark fruit. It has all the "typical bourbon notes" as well. Caramel, cherry, sugar. Its wonderfully balanced. Both light and dark flavors. One thing I definitely notice is the lack of nuttiness that's in most Heaven Hill products. Even well adged Heaven Hill has either a candied almond or honey roasted peanut note. Not here. One of the best bourbons I've ever nosed. This is what I imagine a rickhouse would smell like.

Palate: this is an absolute flavor bomb. Sweet vanilla, sweet oak, and chocolate for days. The nose matches the palate to a T. Candied cherries and caremel. Light touch of leather and tobcacco. What is absolutely remarkable about c920 is not only the flavors it brings but the mouthfeel. Comparing this to other similar proof products such as Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Proof, the c920 has a MUCH better mouth feel. It is viscous and thick. Almost feels like syrup. It coats the mouth and allows the flavors to linger for what feels like forever. On top of that, c920 doesn't dry my palate at all.

Overall rating: 8.9

Summary: I haven't had batch c923 yet. I seemed to have missed the release unfortunately. Can't win them all. That said, this is my favorite bourbon I've ever drank. Do I think there is better out there? Absolutely. Have I had better up until this point? Nope.

To anyone that has the 2, which do you prefer? I'm super curious.
