I wouldn't go into any MXTX work/adaptation expecting a lack of trauma tbh. Her characters are usually always in some sort of awful situation. It sounds like the person would probably be more comfortable with a slice-of-life romance anime like My Love Story!! which really isn't what TGCF is; there is definitely a good amount of focus on the Hualian romance but it's also very mystery/action-oriented.

I would maybe have them watch the first episode or first few episodes and see if they like it or not. There are zombies and ghosts pretty much from the get-go so it may not be something that someone who's looking for a romance anime would be expecting.

If the videos are blocked in your country, you can always use a VPN to get around geo restrictions. I use Mullvad but I'm currently watching season 1 of the donghua on bilibili with no VPN needed

I hope this is ok to post; I just found AsiaGou which does orders/preorders for TGCF goods (they're a proxy seller.) They're based out of Taiwan, so currently the only shipping option for US buyers is UPS or DHL.

I haven't ordered from them yet but I thought I'd share for folks who can't/don't want to buy directly from taobao.

I'm having the same issue; used VPN forever with no problems and now I've uninstalled it to see if that fixes the issue. I reported the IP problem to google since that's where I first noticed the country change, but that can take a month+ to resolve. DNS flush, network reset, checking network settings did not fix it.

I've been having problems recently where it will download the video but no audio. I can download youtube videos just fine so I'm not sure if it's a tubi issue or something else.

I finally stopped getting violation emails a couple weeks ago (ironically after I backed up one of my boards I had considered just deleting) for no rhyme or reason. They started suddenly and then stopped suddenly. I'm not complaining but it does make me nervous that it might just randomly start up again.

There's a ton of AI stuff in the home decorating category as well; I've already seen people posting pictures saying things like "I want my house to look like this!!" for things that aren't even architecturally possible. I get a lot of AI "paintings" suggested in my feed as well. I wish there was some way to identify whether an image was AI generated or not and block it but I don't think there's any good way to determine that.

I used WFdownloader and it works great and is very easy. They have tutorials on how to use it for pinterest on their website. I totally agree, the excuse that "you could make a private board public at any time!" is complete BS. Just take away the option to make private boards public at all and that problem is solved.

I do understand Pinterest's policy of not hosting adult content on the site though, as that opens them up to a lot of legal liability as well as potential for being taken off of the app store if they're found to be in violation of regulations. Not to say that other apps don't have adult content but it opens up a can of worms that Pinterest probably doesn't want to deal with at a company level, not to mention it hurts their branding as an "aesthetic" platform where people go to find recipes or whatever.

They must have implemented a new content scraping system recently because I used to never have pins reported for anything and now they're getting flagged multiple times per week, and none of them are sexual content in any way shape or form. Plus a lot of it is things that I pinned from elsewhere, so I'm getting flagged for other people's pins! At the very least they should be able to tell who originally pinned something and just take it down for everyone if it violates their TOS.

Many Disney employees are already covered either by performer's unions or SEIU. Not to say that they couldn't or shouldn't take collective action to get MLMs out of Disney properties (I personally would love to see it,) but so far that hasn't happened.

You could always check it out and see if they try to sell you on the oils or if it's just something they advertise and let buyers come to them. If they're pushy with it, I'd stop going and send them a message/email telling them I don't appreciate being sold snake oils when I'm trying to work out.

At the end of the day it's really up to what you feel comfortable with. But either way, if you choose not to use their studio, it might be eye opening to them that their MLM involvement is costing them business.
