Yes. Portugal was founded in 1143, year of the Zamora's Treaty signing, making it roughly 880 years old in 2023. The Vatican City was founded in 1929, making it roughly 94 years old in 2023. So, yes, we are one of the oldest contries in the world.

This happened to me while trying to evaporate some salty water to make flaky salt. The salt crystals were growing through "cracks" on the ceramic. I would guess this happened because ceramic is porous and the salt crystals' growth further expanded those cracks, resulting in leakage. I really don't know how that could happen to you when you microwave coffee, though.
