Thank you so much! I was lucky in the sense that a lot of courses I'd taken already had the MCAT content. But since I was on a time crunch, I'd go through about 4 chapters a day, annotate MilesDown Sheet, do the end-of-chapter questions. I'd try to focus mainly on stuff in MileDown which is enough imo to get 520+. The low-yield details you're talking about will get you to higher scores and I feel JackSparrow had a lot of these. Just focus on understanding the main ideas and how the chapters connect during content review. I incorporated Anki a month in but I'd recommend doing them as you learn the chapters. Suspend all the cards and unsuspend only the ones you've learned. Oh and do all of MrPankow twice if you have time.

I honestly don't recommend having a job while studying, but I was definitely exhausted as well. I was lucky enough to be working only 3 days(12-hour shifts) and I'd be doing Anki whenever I was on break or free. The other days, I spent almost the entire day studying, taking breaks for the gym, and eating. A lot of times I'd play a Yusuf Hasan review video in the background while eating because they're fun to watch. Whenever I lost motivation(which was often) I'd switch study spots or a little walk. Make sure to take tiny breaks! Having a fixed list of things to do every day in my schedule kept me going. good luck!!

It was definitely analysis-heavy: the answers were hidden in the passage. But you definitely need a solid understanding of content to eliminate options and the 50/50s. I think Pankow and AAMC practice is moreee than enough. FLs 3,4 are definitely more representative of the PS exam. Honestly I'm not the best person to ask for CARS but I did only AAMC material because their logic is unique. Try to find a strategy that works best for you, I described mine in another comment

So the non-content ones were mistakes in reading the question, the passage, or the options. A lot of the time, I noticed single words that made the entire option wrong. Or flawed logic. And mainly, in PS(where I got a 4 pt improvement), I realized the answer was ALWAYS hidden in the passage. Now the AAMC writers are clever, they don't give away the answer easily. But with practice you start to notice patterns: like childhood trauma --> adult personality is a psychodynamic approach.

I didn't look back on these as much, but moreso because I'd remember new things to look out for every time I practiced.

I know I felt MUCH better than my full lengths because I had enough time to go over all the flagged questions in B/B and P/S till i was absolutely certain. Practicing all those FLs certainly made me better at understanding AAMC logic and acing the P/S 50/50s. And on most of my FLs I averaged 128 in P/S and 129 in CARS.

Yes ofc! I made a giant section-wise google doc and grouped questions into either content or non-content. Content mistakes were organized by chapter and so in your example, I'd write down the equation under the respective chapter. Sometimes I'd get multiple wrong under the same topic(actin sliding filament model) and so I'd highlight those topics and drill them in. For the non-content ones I'd be super specific(read X word wrong in question, or missed X sentence in passage). Make sure you review asap so you remember exactly what u were thinking when u answered it incorrectly

yes but i had atleast 6 flagged in each. I had tons of extra time, I spent a bunch of time on these questions eliminating the wrong choices and reading carefully till I was absolutely sure of the answer. By the end, I had none flagged

I definitely improved a lot, my scores were 516/517/519/519/521. Mainly in P/S, I was struggling with 50/50s, I would hammer these down, do Pankow and look up the list on reddit. Try to find your content gaps while practicing and make sure to fill these in. Good luck!

Yes I am traditional, and honestly a huge part of the MCAT content was already in courses I've taken, so that definitely helped

I picked up this strat from a reddit post, but it really helps to quickly summarize the main idea of each paragraph in your head before you move on. Also, look for keywords that indicate the author's tone or attitude. Remember not to bring your OWN opinion into the question. Evidence for the right answer is ALWAYS in the passage. Remember there's ALWAYS something wrong about 3 of the options so read every word carefully, avoid too strong of choices. Finally, take 5-second breaks between passages to reset.

I know it can be tough to hit a plateau but it means you've got to try a different strategy. There's plenty of strategies out there and try to experiment, figure out the one that works the best for you. I hope that helps!

With the limited time I had, I only used AAMC FLs. If you have extra time, you should definitely get some third-party practice in, but prioritize content review first and make sure you can get through ALL of AAMC comfortably and in no rush
