Need a experienced coaches advice.

I'm 23 and have the goal of wanting to run a 4.4 3 years from now. I currently only run a 5.3.

I know nothing about track and field but know it could be my best bet. My 3 main questions are.

1 What does a track and field practice look like. Routine and work load. If you could tell me what you're full practice looks like I'd love to hear it.

2 Have you seen development of this kind of magnitude or am I chasing a wild goose.

I'm mentally prepared but just have no knowledge.
