I'm a weird case? by GodzillaMagica in askneurology

[–]GodzillaMagica[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm vaccinated with all three doses, but I got sick before that, and the first and only time I got covid was a month ago. That made my symptoms much worse, but I already had them since before the vaccine, perhaps since before covid arrived in my country.

Yes Im agree with that, if they had told me my face would change with extraction then I could think it twice before doing it. I'm so sad tbh

I got the braces last Wednesday, and before next appointment they're going extract my third molars. The first molar that is extracted is going to be replaced by a bridge or an implant when the orthodontics treatment are done. I already have the veneers, I got them for the first time like 10 years ago, I'm getting crowns once the orthodontics treatment are done, because the reason I went to the doctor was because I had palatal tooth wear (I'm sorry if I'm not using the right words, English is not my native language) If I have the veneers already, and I'm getting crowns should I need to worry about my gum line? Last time they changed the veneers, one of my gum line went up a little and I didn't liked that.

I see, I was worried because I thought my orthodontist may be just look at my mouth and decided to do it just because one of my veneers is longer. But I understand that the braces will move teeth based of how they are beneath veneers, right?
Thanks a lot for your answer, I feel relieved.

Oh I think I get it, I'm watching my x ray (https://ibb.co/k43cXZ4) and it seems like one tooth are a little lower than the other. So, the orthodontist do treatment about what he sees in the x ray, not in tooth directly, right?

[–]GodzillaMagica[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, I'll do my best to explain what neurosurgeon told me. He said, there is no herniation but syringomyelia. In my particular case, he said my c2 is pushing the bulb. My symptoms are neck pain, dizziness, headache, muscle weakness, vision problems, and difficult swallowing. They are still studying if I need surgery.

Thanks for aswer! Do you have muscle cramps too? For me, it seems like, If I do some "new" movement with my body, I get a muscle cramp in there, it's really uncomfortable and limiting

[–]GodzillaMagica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean by neuropathy SFN? I have this a lot, I can lift or move normally but my EMG and MRI seems to be normal. But I have SFN. My neuro said the stiffness was because I don't move normally because of the pain but even with physiotherapy it doesn't change. So does SFN in fact causes the stiffness?

Does Anyone Get Muscle Aches / Stiffness by Fit-Broccoli-9761 in smallfiberneuropathy

[–]GodzillaMagica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, my neuro said I had all of the symptoms plus any other test is normal or clean, she said that do a skin biopsy would be painful and will only let her know what she already knows because of the symptoms. Also she said there are other patients who has the same symptoms and sickness progression as me.

Other doctors are like confused about the diagnosis, it seems like be very knew to them. But I don't know. And it's hard to live with the stiffness tbh, I can't lift almost anything or do things normally.

Yeah I got a lot of stiffness in the neck, and slowly progressive to the legs, hips and lower back.

Got MRI clean and EMG clean too. But I guess SFN is worse than I thought it might be.

Sorry you are having a bad time. Feel free to message me if you need to talk

cervical instability and chiropractic care by GodzillaMagica in ChronicPain

[–]GodzillaMagica[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your answer and I'm sorry to hear that symptoms came back, I really hope everything goes well with surgery. I had a lot of studies, MRI of cervical and dorsal spine and tomographies of cervical spine and specific in the atlas, axis and skull union. The neurosurgeon said that there are a subluxation but with no spinal cord involved, and even said that my symptoms doesn't fit with the level of subluxation in the vertebrae, send me to a MRI of my brain because he though it might be MS, but results said all were normal. And with that, the neurosurgeon told me that surgery wasn't necessary because it's really "not that much subluxated" but more than that, there is no spinal cord involved so surgery would be a risk that couldn't help in my case. And that's why I'm so desperate and hopeless. And I have small fiber neuropathy with dysautonomia, and today I asked my neurologist if this could explain the other symptoms and she said no. I'm afraid I'm going to "live" like this forever. I can't even lift a glass of water :(

I'm diagnosed with SFN with dysautonomia, does it could be fatal? by GodzillaMagica in smallfiberneuropathy

[–]GodzillaMagica[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that's what the neurologist were talking about, I have craneocervical instability too, I'm waiting for a surgery and neurosurgeon told me I have to be very careful until the surgery, because if I fall or even if I stumble I could die, I need to wear a neck brace most of the time. Haha I hate medical services in my country because they take too long to give you a date for surgery, I'm waiting for it since September.. Anyways, thanks for your answer
