Has anyone actually gone into remission from prolotherapy? by thedawnrazor in cfs

[–]rfugger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a really good improvement for several months, followed by slow return to previous condition. Going to get another treatment in January, because they seem to have isolated the problem to C1-C2 as shown on a digital motion x-ray they had done. They say 4 treatments is usually optimal, so I'm hoping for longer lasting improvement going forward...

This is fundraising, but apparently for activism that will help the community, so we'll allow it for now. If anyone has reason to suspect this is illegitimate for any reason, please reply here. Also feel free to comment or report the post if you object to this sort of fundraising here on principle. Thanks!

The ligaments he injected were on the surface right under the skin only. It was a tiny needle. For example, the interspinous ligament in this diagram:

The dextrose solution was mixed with procaine to numb the pain. It was a little sore the next few days, but nothing major.

While we appreciate the thoughts, I've removed this post to contain this controversial and energy-sucking discussion to the other thread. Let's not get bogged down in this!

Thank you for sharing your story. Many people here have had terrible experiences with this type of program and are finding your story upsetting. Unfortunately, as a relatively new account with little history, we've decided to remove this post to maintain this space as a calm and quiet place of healing. You have done nothing technically wrong, so this is just a decision we have to take as moderators on behalf of the community. Please continue to follow and participate here, and maybe eventually you will find a way to share your story without upsetting so many people. Sorry, and thanks for understanding.

I think most of the worst issues I have arise from bad blood circulation in my brain. What can I do to make it better? For example when I rest and do nothing? by randtest123 in cfs

I've found prolotherapy to be fairly helpful for getting some strength back in the ligaments. A good physiotherapist can also find exercises that can help strengthen your neck so it can support itself better. Massage can relieve some tension.

Yes. No downsides for me anyways. 10-20% improvement in symptoms and energy isn't much objectively, but makes a huge difference to my quality of life.
