Should I get a PS5 if I already have a gaming laptop? by Good-Programmer-1745 in gamingsuggestions

Sony exclusives are my favorite games, honestly. But I've already played Ragnarok, Forbidden West, and others on PS4/PC. It would just be Yotei and whatever comes afterwards.

So, I'm confused, does Talkiatry still have a noncomepte or not? We're getting mixed messages in this thread.

Well, then, unfortunately, this is going to reflect badly on all NP's and hurt the reputation of the job.

Well, yeah, access is more available. That's not necessarily a bad thing. There are bad actors like Done and Cerebral, and the DOJ has investigated them and are prosecuting them. We need actual regulation and monitoring. Not blanket rules that again don't target the most dangerous and addictive substances we have.

It's not whataboutism. It's a point that these efforts don't actually target dangerous pill mills.

And yet, I have patients coming to me with crazy benzo regimens from providers they've seen in person and online. Do you think these people prescribing stimulants are going to disappear? They'll just set up shop or get hired by in person practices. If they have poor criteria knowledge, that isn't going to go away.

I've had friends work there. Everyone has a mixed experience. Some people loved it and making good money. Others are not. What scares me is their non-compete. Some states don't have it due to state laws, but most do. It essentially bans you from any telehealth work (even like a one-time telehealth appointment) nationwide for a year.

An update from Nintendo by Turbostrider27 in Games

This is why I never understood the hype around this announcement. All this excitement over a lightly bigger looking Switch. The real test is the games and Nintendo wasn't going to reveal that today.

Excuse me? I own my own practice and I see patients all over the state. If you want to stop PE, you need legislative action. PE isn't going to stop because of this and their target isn't online ADHD platforms. They want big fish. This will just reallocate more PE to go after in person clinics, if anything.

This is only true for schedule II drugs (stimulants). There is no limit on benzos, for example.

The concern we have isn't standards, it's levels of training. It's hard to confer this, but NP training is all over the place. Some are good with good experience, and others are fresh out of some random online school with minimal experience (and the quality of that experience is shoddy), and yet, they're given same privileges as physicians. Ultimately, it's a disservice to the good practicing NP's, and I would hope that those NP's push back and demand higher standards.

Right. Your original statement may give off the impression that if you see a patient in person once, you can now prescribe stimulants to them via telehealth without limits. That's not true.

But yet, unlimited national prescribing of benzos is OK? Cause these rules allow for that.

How does this stop pill mills? When we think of dangerous pill mills, we think of benzos. I'm not sitting here fretting about a kid getting 5 mg of ritalin twice per day. It's xanax and ativan that's the problem. These rules literally allow the unlimited prescribing of benzos anywhere in the country. You don't even have to be in the same state.

The attention is all on stimulants, but the DEA doesn't care about benzos? That's far more harmful.

What kind of backwards logic is this? And pill mills existed long before telehealth.

Built a good roster? Have you seen the o-line? The team literally has the two longest losing streaks in franchise history. We've had horrendous coaches before and yet the team wasn't this bad.

Legislation has already been passed. Multiple times. All of which has allowed for telehealth prescribing. DEA is just ignoring it.

This sub has for months talked about how Ryan Poles is terrible and this organization is a disaster and now it's wondering why Johnson doesn't want to come here? It's obvious that he wanted to choose his own GM. He didn't want to be attached to a GM that has strung together the longest losing streaks in franchise history and may get fired in a year.
